Amazing
Neil Simon Theatre - New York
This was a top notch production. Sting was great. It's too bad the show closed early. Many others wanted to see it.

So sad it's over
Neil Simon Theatre - New York
I was lucky enough to see it 3 times. It was absolutely worth it with and without Sting. It might not be as spectacular as the most popular broadway shows but it didn't need that. The music is great and the entire cast is amazing. It is a more "real life" story, overall great quality. Sorry if you missed it. Goes into my favorite show list.

The Last Ship A Masterpiece
Neil Simon Theatre - New York
I am so sorry that the show closed. It was original. New. Loved seeing older men on the stage along with the young guys. The choreography was tough and masculine.....no one expects to see shipbuilders doing pirouettes and they did not do pirouettes! Heartfelt. Universal theme. Man's self respect goes when the work he's done his whole life gets taken away through no fault of his own. Sting's voice was as good and powerful as any of the Broadway actors/singers. I laughed and cried. Good theater on every level.

The Last Ship was great.
Neil Simon Theatre - New York
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this production. It was a pleasant surprise to have Sting perform in the show. When we ordered the tickets he was not scheduled to be in the play. We were saddened to find out the show was ending on the date we saw it. It was one of the best shows we have seen. Definitely on par with "Once".

Amazing!
Neil Simon Theatre - New York
I loved "The Last Ship", from the first note to the last bow. The story was great and the songs were classic Sting. I was fortunate enough to see the show with Sting playing the role of Jackie White, and he complemented the phenomenal cast beautifully. Such an incredible show!

The Last Ship was very enjoyable!
Neil Simon Theatre - New York
My husband is a huge Sting fan, so even though I did not know anything about the play, I bought tickets to see Sting... We ended up with front row seats (I was not aware that that was what I had purchased) and even though it was great to be that close to Sting, we were soon engrossed in the talents of the rest of the cast, the storyline, and the props. The cast was fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed the show!

Marketing missed the quality of this show!
Neil Simon Theatre - New York
Excerpts chosen for TV and poster/program graphic really missed the mark and I believe deterred people from this play to others. We secured the tickets with the plus that Sting was performing in it. We were later pleased to hear some friends tell us that they loved it. We saw it the day before closing and after were so disappointed. It should not have closed!! It was a show that left you humming; gave you a wonderful story and would be highly recommended. I just think it was poorly marketed and didn't project for potential buyers the true sense of what this play would deliver.

High Class
Neil Simon Theatre - New York
High class musical. Perfect crew, scene settings, and of course, Sting's music. Just small flawless is that the story can be better.
THE LAST SHIP is a new musical with an original score by 16-time Grammy Award® winner Sting. Inspired by Sting’s own childhood experiences, this World Premiere production features direction by two-time Tony Award® winner Joe Mantello (Wicked), a book by Tony Award® winner John Logan(Red) and Pulitzer Prize winner Brian Yorkey (Next to Normal), and choreography by Olivier Award winner Steven Hoggett (Once). THE LAST SHIP is set in the English seafaring town of Wallsend, a close-knit community where life has always revolved around the local shipyard and the hardworking men who construct magnificent vessels with tremendous pride. It is a portrait of a community so bound together by passion, faith and tradition, they'll stop at nothing to preserve the only life they've ever known.
