Monkeying around with Kipling’s classic A fun-filled, energetic musical adventure that invites you to join in the action. Baloo and Mowgli meet again several years after Mowgli has left the jungle. Together, through original songs supported by multimedia, they bring to life Mowgli’s exciting escapades growing up in the jungle with Bagheera, Kaa, Shere Kahn, the cheeky Monkeys and the Jackal. A show full of surprises and great interactive fun.
To begin with the parking pass I purchased with the tickets was far from the Theater.Was a long, cold walk with two young children.The play was recommended for all ages but we definitely didn't agree. Our four year old held his ears and cried at the beginning as it was way too loud. The set and costumes were also very disappointing.
This was not at all what I was expecting and very underwhelming. I thought it would be a full theatrical performance. The story line was very difficult to follow as there were four cast members playimg 8-10 characters and switching between these characters by adding a hood to their head or taking off a hat.
You can tell by watching the show how hard the kids worked! The show flowed very well and the younger kids knew exactly what to do and when to do it! Congratulations to the teachers - a job well done!
It was great to see young people dancing and having a wonderful time. The school does remarkable things for young people, particularly for boys.
I thought the music and idea was there but I thought the people in it were a little choppy. It wasn't in sync when the performers needed to be. I also found myself wondering if some characters didn't know how to dance at all. It seemed like a school ballet instead of something that I paid soo much money for. If I spent $20 on the tickets I might understand, but for the amount I didn't enjoy.
For how much I paid to go to this I was very disappointed. I was expecting the dancers to at the very least be synchronized. When three people were supposed to be doing the same thing at the same time they weren't. their timing was off, their quality of skill was poor. You could tell that the couple lead parts were very good dancers and then the rest, the filler people, were not good. This completely took away from the great job the main people did. The costumes were so bulky you could hardly see the dancers bodies to enjoy their movements. This was NOT a ballet. I took two kids who have been to this kind of thing before, who really really wanted to go to this ballet, and they were not impressed at all. one slept through half. the choreography was repetitive. blah! just not good.
