About

The Jacksons in Concert

Nearly half a century after first wowing the world, music's most famous family continues to thrill audiences in every corner of the globe. Jermaine, Tito, Marlon and Randy — better known as The Jacksons — bring a heap of iconic songs in pop and R&B to fans wherever they play. Backed by a top-flight ensemble of players, the brothers deliver high-energy performances that cover the span of their unparalleled career as recording artists and hitmakers. Audiences can expect everything from buoyant early No. 1 singles like "ABC" and "I Want You Back," to the infectious grooves of "Dancing Machine" and "Blame It on the Boogie," to the anthemic likes of "Can You Feel It?"

The Jacksons Background

The Jacksons' story began in a humble home in Gary, Indiana, where the precocious talents of five young brothers — Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael — first made their mark at regional talent shows as The Jackson 5. Under the direction of father Joe Jackson and Motown mastermind Berry Gordy, the band became one of pop music's greatest sensations of the late 1960s and early '70s thanks to their irrepressible energy and astounding abilities as performers. Smashes like "ABC" and "I Want You Back" made the Jacksons a regular presence on the Hot 100. After their tenure with Motown ended, they'd return to the top of the charts with such disco-era powerhouses as "Blame It on the Boogie" and "Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)." The Jacksons' preeminence would continue even after youngest brother Michael attained superstardom and Jermaine had his own solo success. All of the Jacksons — including kid sister Janet — united for the first time ever to record 2300 Jackson Street in 1989. The four eldest brothers came together again in sadder circumstances in 2012 for the Unity Tour, their first concert tour since Michael's death in 2009. Jermaine, Tito, Jackie and Marlon continue to perform together worldwide, adding to a legacy that already includes such honors as the Jacksons' star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and their inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1999.

Music drowned out vocals most of show

by Kobeez on 4/6/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

The Jackson brothers need to let the young guy from the UK sing more songs, he much better than them, they had their days . It’s time to let go of total control.

The jacksons concert Thunder valley casino

by KT on 4/2/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

I grew up listening to J5. I love their family and story. But, it seems like without Jermaine, they don't have a solid male vocalist. This makes the show less exciting.

    disappointed

by Lisa M on 4/2/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

I love the Jackson's music, they played great songs at the show, and I really appreciate that Jackie, Tito and Marlon are still performing at their age. BUT it didn't come off as a great singing show. It was disappointing. The 2 younger singers - Taryll Jackon and Haydon Eshun - have stronger, better voices than the older Jacksons but mostly did back up and harmonies. The 3 Jackson brothers were featured with nicer outfits with silver sparkles, but Taryll and Haden were in "street clothes"all in black, in the background. It was mostly a Jackie and Marlon show, and their voices were weak for being lead singers. I couldn't hear them very well. I love the Jacksons but it was disappointing because the show could have been much better. Let the younger guys do more lead vocals. Sister Sledge sounded incredible - I'm just not a huge SS fan. The Tramps were good. But I'm not a fan. I would not see this show again or recommend it.

    Great Show

by Mrs E Stew on 4/2/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

It was so wonderful to see The Jacksons again. They were the first concert my mom took me too. Of course it was sad that Michael wasn’t there and the other 2 brothers but, that Marlon handled the show very well. I’m sorry happy that they finally came to Sacramento!! Thank you Marlon, Jackie and Tito. Love you forever!

    Excellent

by Dollbaby on 4/2/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

I really enjoyed the show. And the flash back of when they started. The crowd and songs brought back so many memories of the Jackson 5. Glad the brothers are back together again 🙌

    Jacksons at The Venue

by Watson on 4/2/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

The concert was good however there was way too much time spent in between the performances of the Tramps, Sister Sledge and the Jacksons. Maybe the voices of the Jacksons aren’t as strong as they used to be but it was difficult to hear them vocally and we had floor seats. Overall we enjoyed the evening.
