    Invictus opening ceremony

by Jjjjkkk on 10/8/17Air Canada Centre - Toronto

It was a fantastic evening except for the people in the crowd who had obviously gone for just the pop artists and weren't interested at all in the Invictus Games and talked all the way through prince Harry and anything to do with the athletes. Don't come just for the pop stars!

    Opening Ceremonies

by Metherin on 9/27/17Air Canada Centre - Toronto

There is only one word - amazing. The space felt nice and intimate, and the excitement and happiness of the athletes along with their friends and family were so energizing. Sarah McLaughlin was beautiful. The PM and Price Harry spoke so eloquently. Am so happy these marvelous athletes had such a spectacular start to their Games.

Great Event for a Great Cause

by MarieEM on 9/27/17Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Even though this was only the third year of the Invictus Games, the opening ceremony was very well crafted. The speakers were great, the entertainers were great, and it was overall a very good time. The Air Canada Centre is an amazing venue, too.

How can seeing over 500 of the most inspirational worldwide heroes not be the best moment in time? Anyone who gets to see these fantastic military athletes will be humbled and grateful to be in their presence.

Great Ending to incrediable, life changing event

by Lbridges on 5/18/16Champion Stadium at ESPN Wide World of Sports - Kissimmee

The awards and speakers were great, but the entertainment just went on too long. Could have been even better with about half of the musical groups. The award ceremony for the participates and Prince Harry's closing remarks were the best.

Invictus Games will inspire and uplift

by Ladycrouse on 5/17/16ESPN Wide World of Sports HP Field House - Kissimmee

I attended the Invictus Games literally because Prince Harry would be there. Despite that, from the first night at the Opening Ceremonies, I was enthralled with it all. These games are Olympic-style sporting events for men and women who have given, not just their time, but parts of themselves to serve their country. Some lost a limb (or more), some lost brain function, some (if not all) suffer from PTSD. The horrors they have seen and been a part of would cripple most of us, but these veterans have not given up. They have fought through surgeries, rehab and internal struggles and through sport (and camaraderie) have found purpose again. I was truly moved and inspired by the stories and the courage that was displayed throughout the week's events. 14 countries were represented and we all cheered for everyone. It didn't really matter who won because the true spirit of the games is to celebrate being alive, continuing to fight for your best life and encouraging others to do the same. It was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster, but, like Prince Harry said in closing, see you in Toronto in 2017!
