About

THE GO-GO'S IN CONCERT:

After three decades together, iconic new wave girl group the Go-Go's still have the beat. Boasting an all-star lineup that includes the beloved voices of Belinda Carlisle and Jane Wiedlin, the Go-Go's continue to be one of the most effervescent live acts around, practically bursting with energy as they take the stage to perform upbeat classics like "Our Lips Are Sealed" and "Head Over Heels." One thing is clear: these girls just want to have fun, and that's exactly what they'll do on their upcoming tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed amid LA's burgeoning punk and new wave scene in the late '70s, the Go-Go's got their start playing seminal venues like The Whiskey A Go Go and The Roxy. For their 1981 debut LP Beauty and the Beat, the band eschewed their early punk sound in favor of a more radio-friendly brand of power pop -- with phenomenal results. The album peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, spawning the hit singles "Our Lips Are Sealed" and "We Got the Beat" and earning the girls the Best New Artist award at the 1982 Grammys. 1982 follow-up Vacation was a similar success, landing two more hits on the charts and going on to be certified Gold by the RIAA. Following an initial breakup in 1985, the band's members embarked on various solo ventures, reuniting periodically over the years to record and tour. Back on the road for another highly anticipated tour, the Go-Go's will bring their signature energy to venues around the country.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Great energy and super show. Go-Go's brought back the 80's for a few hours, and we had a great time."

"The girls all looked and sounded great.  Belinda sang a few of her songs and she was sounding great. Plenty of Go-Go songs and it was a great balance of all the girls' music."

"They were just as fun & energetic as they were in the ' 80s! Very enjoyable!"

    The Go-Go's were fantastic!!

by J. T. on 5/2/22House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

The Go-Go's were fantastic and a lot of fun!! HOB Anaheim is a decent venue. The sound is great, but the lighting sometimes is not very good. Belinda Carlisle had a bright red face the entire show due to the extremely harsh red lighting. The rest of the band were barely lit at all for most of the set.

    the Go-Gos deliver!

by Bill Me on 4/4/22House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

The Go-Gos show at the House of Blues in Anaheim was sold out. It started promptly at 8 p.m. without an opening act. They powered through selections from all four of thier albums and thier latest single Club Zero. The show lasted for about an hour and a half including an encore and left me feeling blown away by how much energy and joy they delivered thier amazing style of pure rock goodness. Thanks for a great night Go-Gos!

Sounded Good, but way too short in playing time

by Best Regards on 4/3/22House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

The sound check which costs $160 was way too short and they only played 3 songs. The band answered questions for about 4 minutes and that was it. The concert was way too short and they played for about an hour. The band sounded very good, though

Belinda’s vocals were as good as ever! She was dancing around like it was still the 80s. The rest of the band were full of fun energy. Nonstop rockin!! Go-Go’s Forever!

Gogo 's were good but the venue oversold and it was packed.

by Mamamoses on 3/31/22House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

House of Blues Anaheim oversold the event. you could not walk down any isle. So crowded at the back bar people were pushed up against it so you could get a drink. If some walked through a wave of people had to move. I expected to stand during the concert but If someone needed to walk by they would step on your foot. Unfortunately the crowd overshadowed the Gogos. Too busy worry about being pushed out of my spot. Ridiculous especially since Covid. I am sure if the fire marshall came it would have shut down the concert.

The Gogo's were great. But it was over crowded.

by Lordog on 3/31/22House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

I had standing room only, and it was way to crowded. You couldn't dance. The sounds were good.
