Don't miss this dazzling new production of The Gershwins' PORGY AND BESS starring four-time Tony Award® winner, Audra McDonald, Norm Lewis and Tony® nominee David Alan Grier. It's a bold adaptation of Broadway's seminal masterpiece, brilliantly reinvented by Tony-nominated® director Diane Paulus, Pulitzer Prize winner Suzan-Lori Parks and two-time Obie winner Diedre Murray.

My friend and I really enjoyed Porgy and and Bess during Broadway Week. The music was great and Audra McDonald's performance was brilliant.
My expectations for this play were superceded, in two totally different performances. In June, Audra McDonald was ill, and her understudy carried through well. In September, I was able to join two friends, with better seats...and Audra back on stage. Norm Lewis and David Alan Grier, among others, were missing....BUT seeing Audra perform was electrifying! She gave a magnificent power to the role of Bess that made the show the best I've seen on Broadway!
Excellent play with extremely powerful female lead. Audra Macdonald is awesome.
My wife and I really enjoyed this play, from start to finish it kept our interest, the singing and choreography was very good. There were some instances where we could not understand the singing, all in all we thought it was a great show.
The shows music and singing were unforgettable. Each song was better than the next. I don't know if there will ever be another that will top it. We were speechless when we left the theater.
The acting was so good and the musical numbers were excellent. Audra McDonald did not disappoint she has a beautiful voice. Norm Lewis was superb as Porky in voice and his acting ability. David Alan Grier was the villain you love to hate as Sporting Life. the whole cast was great.
Great show and great seats. If I could afford it I would go again before the show leaves the theater. The voices were superb and awe inspiring. Totally loved it.
We really enjoyed the show, it was our first Broadway Show, we would highly recommend it to all our friends and family,
I could not enjoy the performance because there was not enough room between the rows for my legs. That caused pain in my knees which meant I had to leave at intermission.
