    Great Features Show!

by KatesPOV on 11/11/13Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

The Features show on Friday was great. It was too bad that similar acts were books in town the same night as it definitely affected audience attendance, but the guys still put on a great show.

    sound to loud

by drummerboydrummer on 6/8/13The Basement - Columbus

After driving a long way to see the features play in columbus at a place called the basement, the music being so loud made a very good band slightly below average. The basement was a cool little place to see a band up close. My son has been listening to the band for about a year now. There music is clean, crisp and well played. There are a couple of songs that are really good and deserve play time on the radio. The band is tight, and very talented. The singer has a very good voice and does a good job on guitar. The base player was very entertaining and into the music. The keyboard player was a little hard to hear at times and he needs to find a way to match the enthusiasm the rest of the band has. The drummer was very good and it was a pleasure to watch him play. That being sad, the sound needed to be adjusted down on his drums, It's a shame the music had to be so loud. Over the last 30 years I have seen a lot of bands play in small clubs. Never have I seen a worse job on having the proper volume for a performance. It would have been great to see them play with a sound man who knew what he was doing. The band has a lot of potential and I wish them well.

The Features should be bigger stars

by rockandrolllifestyle on 1/22/12The Local 662 - St Petersburg

Saw the Features open for Kings of Leon about 5 years ago at Jannus Landing. Weren't familiar with them at the time but loved their performance. Was excited to see if they were as good as I remembered, and they were even better. Lead singer has such a distinctive voice. Song lyrics are meaningful. Even songs we weren't familiar with felt like old favorites. And the drummer is the living embodiment of Animal from the Muppets. SO MUCH ENERGY!

The Features were good, Brother Reverend also

by MeSeeMusic on 11/9/11Mercury Lounge - New York

The bands were good, the venue was good, the show was good, but I wasn't blown away. They needed to turn the volume down a bit. Yes, I understand that this is music that should be loud but it would have been nice to be able to follow the melodies and the lyrics. The Features might need to find another opening act because the opening act on the night, Brother Reverend, may been the better band. It was close.

    Best Underrated Band.

by jeddth on 5/11/11Mercury Lounge - New York

If you never heard, or heard of the features it's a crying shame. They are some of the most talented songwriters and performers out there and their live show never disappointed. They packed Mercury Lounge with energy and new materials.
