Electrifying performance

Helmed by drummer Brian Viglione and singer/songwriter/pianist Amanda Palmer, the punk cabaret duo The Dresden Dolls have attained legendary status with their darkly original song-craft and visceral, no-holds-barred live shows. Blending performance art and politics with an array of sonic and lyrical influences from The Doors and Black Sabbath to Lotte Lenya and Nina Simone, the pair reaped global attention for creating a uniquely cathartic sound and vision all their own. Three studio albums 2003's self-titled debut and 2006's YES, VIRGINIA..., and 2008's NO, VIRGINIA earned International critical praise, hailing The Dresden Dolls' distinctive work as both deeply unsettling yet remarkably accessible.
After a long needed hiatus and countless solo and side-projects later (Viglione drummed for NIN and Violent Femmes; Palmer wrote a best-selling book and broke crowdfunding records), The Dresden Dolls are back at work and slowly building towards the creation of their fourth studio album and their first full global tour in almost two decades.

I love the dresden dolls. I have been listening to them for 10 years. The show in Nashville did not disappoint! It was fun, the energy was great. My sister has gone to see them twice in the last year. Both of us would go again. Loved the cover of War Pigs! <3
I will definitely be coming to another Dresden Dolls show when I have the means. You'll laugh, you'll cry, it's such a good show. It was so raw and unfiltered. It makes me feel free, watching them.
Bucket list item, completed! I've wanted to see the Dresden Dolls since 2020, and finally got the chance at Nashville's Brooklyn Bowl. It was a great night, a mixture of their old music and a few new songs. They sounded wonderful. A very high-energy experience. The crowd was fun to be a part of. I enjoyed the show from start to finish!
This was seriously one of the best shows I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot, even Bowie). They brought it DOWN. They love their crowd, and let me tell you their crowd loves them right back. This is art at its finest! DD, if y'all are reading these reviews, please come back to Nashville! We love you!
There’s never been a boring Dolls show. This was no exception. Amanda & Brian are a unique band and the show is unlike anything else.
Best show of the year! The band played classic hits, new songs and put their hearts and souls on the line for the audience. It was like a family reunion with this amazing music community. Such stellar showmanship. Absolutely loved it!
It was a great show with some classic bangers and a taste of things to come. Warpigs was unexpected, but thoroughly enjoyed.
This was such a good show. I see a lot of live music, and this show ranks up there with some of the best hsows i have seen. High energy, great enthusiasm from the band, which was given right back to them by the very enthusiastic audience.
The show was fantastic! I loved that it wasn't so crowded I'd have a panic attack. I loved the mix of old and new songs. War Pigs was so out of left field and awesome. I was sad they were out of shirts in my size, but I got one on their website, so no big deal :)
