Venue was great, the comedy even better. The best thing about going to a live taping is you get to hear the stuff that doesn't make it to radio (more than likely because it's a little racier than CBC will tolerate). The one downside? The alcohol prices at the Danforth Music Hall are ridiculous. Karma for drinking, I suppose.
Classic subjects and laughs! It was cool to see the inner workings of recording for radio broadcast as well.
I thought the show was a good value as was much longer than I expected. To me that meant more opportunity to laugh and see different comedians in the Debators forum. I am all about the fact that I was laughing loud beside my husband and 2 children, age ten and fifteen. My husband and ten year old son were also laughing a lot. My daughter was amused but more reserved. The teenage funny bone may not have been stimulated as effectively as the other spectrums. For example the references in music/ TV shows were all from my era not hers. We all listen to the Debators at the Lake in the summer and the kids were excited to hear we could watch the show live. It was great to see the production behind the radio show. I loved the filler or off comedy that wouldn't make the radio show.
