Amazing show. Very polished without being over the top. Singer Darrian Ford has style and charm to complement his voice. He did not try to be Sam Cooke or sing like Mr. Cooke, for only Sam Cooke can do Sam Cooke. Mr. Ford wonderfully introduced Cooke's music to those less fortunate ones who may not have had the pleasure of experiencing Sam's music and lyrics and to those of us who still miss him so. Thank you Mr. Ford.
I purchased these tickets for my parents. they called as soon as they got home to say how much they loved it. The show was entertainment at its finest. They only wished they could have stayed there for another two hours.
Thoroughly enjoyed the show. Audience was keot engaged throughout the entire performance. Would definitely attend this event again.
Excellent tribute to The Father of Soul. Mr. Ford's background as a dancer added to the performance -- smooth moves! And hs voice was fabulous, very reminiscent of Sam Cooke. The band was also very talented, and were clearly enjoying themselves on the stage. My only regret was that the show was relatively short -- started a little late, took a fairly long intermission, and ended earlier than I expected. Tickets were rather expensive, and Mr. Ford could have given us a few more songs. We did appreciate the couple of encore songs, thanks!
Amazing talent and a great crowd. Wish there were bathrooms on the first floor though!
Darrian sounds almost like Sam Cooke! The show was well organized and entertaining. The band was awesome! They had great harmony when they sang with Darrian. He is a great dancer and he knows how to work the crowd. The singing, dancing, band and the humor blended well. Ford gave us some interesting facts about Sam Cooke during his performance, which was weaved into the show. I recommend it to all.
It was an evening of relaxed fun. Darrian Ford has an incredible voice and great entertainment style. The band was engaging and the audience was involved and enjoying the music and musicians. Definitely worth the time and expense.
