The show was great but just not long enough for the seat price. The show was 1.5 hour only. I was expecting no less than 2.5 hr. But aside from that the venue is amazing. The room temp was perfect and the sound incredible. I’m giving 4 stars only because of the time.
My first time seeing the Chuck Brown Band and can honestly say I know "Chuck" is in heaven smiling down because the band DEFINITELY keeps his spirit ALIVE. I had this emotional feeling over me I almost cried. But can be embraced by the band whenever i see them play.
I can't say a bad thing about the Go-Go New Music Day show! I took my husband for his birthday and he loved it, WE loved it! Every band was perfect. I hope that they continue to have these shows annually because we will be back.
I love go-go, especially the Chuck Brown Band. I thought the entire show was fabulous, though the Junkyard Band seemed to play too long. It was weird when they dropped the curtain on them while they were still performing. EU opened the night. They killed it! JYB came on next and did a good job, though they were very loud. The night was capped by the CB Band. They delivered in spectacular form. They played many of the old favorites plus a brand new song. All in all, a great show. I LOVED IT. Let's keep Chuck Brown's Legacy Go-going!

The show was cranking from the opening act Black Alley until when the Chuck Brown Band came on. It was an old school go-go. It was the place to be that night.
The All-Star Tribute Band is putting it down in honor of the great legend Chuck Brown, godfather of Go*Go!!!!
The show was GREAT!!! I was on the floor all night and felt like I was 18 again. It was great to party with people who love the same type of music as you do. I can't wait until next year when they return.
It was amazing to have an event for DC natives in Atlanta. It was a lot of fun and I hope it comes back next year.
