And that is a good thing!!! Went to this show expecting to get the band that I had watched on YouTube doing those introspective and folky sets for KEXP online. NOPE. They rocked. In addition, they rocked pretty hard. I was blown away with their energy and their enthusiasm to just put on a great show. Will definitely go see them the next time they come around!
The show was awesome. The set list rocked. They had a record crowd in Boston. Their new album Naomi is great!! Check em out..
Great band - brought me back to my barn dancing days.
Good venue, decent bar downstairs. The sound quality was mediocre. The bass drum overwhelmed everything, even on slower more acoustic songs.
FANTASTIC! The Cave Singers had the crowd dancing and they sounded incredible
The opening act...good lord, bleeding eardrums I think it was. Horrid. Cave Singers, loved it, bought a couple of t-shirts, had a blast. Entertaining, professional, top notch.
We came to watch a local band on the rise and get a feel for the Seattle crowd. It was unfortunate that part of the band seemed slightly too drunk(?) on stage. This was a disappointment. So was the venue because it was a tad too dirty for us. The people at the bar and in general were very relaxed and nice. We'd return if they could spruce the place up.
The Cave Singers always deliver consistently solid shows. Excellent music. Excellent venue.
I just found out about this great band and can tell you they have a new groupie. They are great on CD but AMAZING live. Great energy :) and I still can't stop thinking about it.... a must MUST see.
the showbox was a perfect fit for these folks to play. i'm a real sucker for goodtimes, and they didn't disappoint.
