About

The Black Keys are a garage rock duo from Akron, Ohio made up of lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney. Upon dropping out of college, the duo began making a number of self-produced albums together, including The Big Come Up (2002), Thickfreakness (2003), Rubber Factory (2004) and Magic Potion (2006). The band’s fifth studio set, Attack and Release (2008), marked a turning point — not only was it their first project to be recorded in a professional studio, but they also found a producer in Danger Mouse, who would go on to become a frequent collaborator. The Black Keys’ commercial breakthrough occurred with the 2010 release of Brothers and its 2011 follow-up El Camino. Both landed in the Top 3 of the Billboard 200 and the former earned the band their first Grammy win for Best Alternative Music Album. Their 2014 LP Turn Blue became their first No. 1 album on the all-genre chart, with later studio sets including Let’s Rock (2019), Delta Kream (2021) and Dropout Boogie (2022). The band’s twelfth studio album, 2024’s Ohio Players, will be supported by their 2024 International Players Tour.

What Happened to the Last Hour?

by MP on 9/23/23Pinewood Bowl Theater - Lincoln

Was pretty disappointed to be honest. I'd assume a band like the Black Keys could muster more than just playing their hits straight through, but that's what they did. Even more surprisingly, they came on at 8:45, at 9:30 said thank you were done, then came back out for 2 more songs, and finished after only played an hour and change. Maybe it's a false east coast reputation, but almost all other bands I hear, go to 10:30 - 11:30 easily. Also, the venue has some real parking issues, as I had to go in the pitch black down a hiking trail to get to and from my car

    Worth every extra mile

    by Miake on 9/1/23

I am from Germany and on a trip through the states, always wanted to see the black keys live. I did a detour of over 1.000 miles and had high expectations — which have been absolutely fulfilled and exceeded! I loved the show, good crowd, location was sweet and I left with a very happy grin. Thanks with a bow and glitter.

    Ok concert

    by Review on 8/30/23

They played for about an hour and a half. They didn’t seem super enthused but played all the songs you hear on the radio and did a reasonable job. The opening band, the velveteers were an absolute blast and definitely the highlight of the show for me. I have been listening to them on Spotify for the last couple of days and really enjoy their album as well.

Glad We Did it But Slightly Disappointed

    by Keys on 8/30/23

Drove from Colorado. Found the venue to be very well outfitted with chairs and other accoutrements. However, the sound quality at the venue was disappointing. Don't feel we got the full concert experience.

    Black Keys were amazing.

    by Annie on 8/30/23

The band was amazing but not crazy about the venue. It was very difficult to see the stage because everyone stood up and blocked the view.

    by Sharpie on 8/30/23

Witnessing The Black Keys perform live is an incredible experience. Hailing from Akron, Ohio, Dan and Patrick exude the aura of rockstar-status musicians, infusing their music with a unique blend of passion and personal style.

    Awesome Night

    by Tré on 8/12/23

So much fun! Never a bad time with The Black Keys and thank you to the Brooklyn Bowl venue for allowing a 13 year old into the show. Sometimes it can be difficult to be an underage music fan in Nashville when venues have strict age restrictions. But not this night. With the help of everyone at Easy Eye Sound, we turned Brooklyn Bowl into a Juke Joint full of blues, great music, and good friends! 😎🤘🏼
