    Gives Me Goosebumps

by marydelano on 3/17/10Colony Theatre - Miami Beach

This is not your father’s big band, no blue ruffled tuxedo shirts or fancy bubble machine behind the band. Just pure, powerful music preformed by three people.

    must see

by fenom on 2/27/10Colony Theatre - Miami Beach

Two of the best performers around. Will not be able to see them in intimate environments for much longer. Take advantage of the opportunity now before they go global.

The most impressive duo I have ever seen...

by BeachFunk on 2/18/10Dog and Bone British Pub - Cocoa

I have this distinct memory of working in a club in a village area near the ICW and hearing rave reviews of a new show around the corner. The energy of the people who were milling around that night was bright and excitied, which is completely opposite of the normally depressed or chill atmosphere of the village. Something new with a human beat-box? I was interested so on a break I swung next door to check it out. Where normally an uninterested group of people play darts and shoot pool, I was suddenly thrust into a funky and dancing crowd full of party people! Brendan is a brilliant singer/songwriter who has incredible funk, soul and pop sensibilities. His silky smooth and sometimes hoarse vocal timbre is extremely pleasant and makes it incredibly easy to see his soul through his vocal expression. Komakozie is one of the finest beat boxer's I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing live. He brings huge and agressive to new levels while remembering how to create within the more subtle spaces. Brilliantly appropriate for any venue these two are helping to reclaim many spaces from the dulldrums of the so-called i-pod DJs. They are fun, danceable, and most of all brilliantly entertaining!
