This has been the best Heavy Metal concert I have ever seen live. Not to mention that Metallica played Orion. I witnessed history.

    Time of my life!!

by Boomer1993 on 3/15/12Yankee Stadium - New York

i saw the Big 4 with my two friends and we all had the time of our lives! Anthrax started the show and kicked major butt, Megadeth was next and they knocked it out of the park! Dave sounded great so just having having surgery the day before .Slayer was next.....ohhhh and they were amazing! So fast and brutal non-stop mayhem!! Metallica finished the show, and without a doubt they were the best! They sounded amazing and put on a great show. I also enjoyed the people there, they were all there for the same reason i was so everyone got along.

    Simply the best concert!!

by JKACTL on 11/4/11Yankee Stadium - Brooklyn

All four bands were amazing!! The best, i thought was Antrax and Megadeth!! Of course Metallica and Slayer are great. Yankees Stadium is soo huge and we had excellent seats. I love music and the metal fans are usually family, but some do get a little stupid when they get too much too drink...specially girls, come on ..its not cute if you fall on your ass because you're too drunk. Would go see them again...no doubt

    THE BIGGEST FOUR!!!!

by Anonymous on 10/18/11Yankee Stadium - New York

To start Anthrax was awesome. I thought they'd only play their new album since it came out that day but NO! They played all my favorites like Indians, Caught in a Mosh, Madhouse, and Got the Time. They wore pretty sick Anthrax Yankee Jerseys which I thought was awesome. Then Megadeth, my second favorite of the bands came out after rumors that they'd pass on the New York show. However, after they came out blazing with "Trust" Dave Mustaine let us know that he needed neck surgery and that with one bad move he could be paralyzed. Although his voice was not fantastic, I thought Megadeth killed it especially with "Peace Sells" and even "Holy Wars" at the end of the set. Slayer came out a next, a band I did not expect much from considering that they are probably the least musically skilled of the Big 4. However, something about Slayer really turned me on. The atmosphere was unreal even without Jeff Hanneman, who was still recovering from his skin graft. Tom Araya was on top of his game and performed the ghoulish scream at the start of "Angel of Death" without flaw. "South of Heaven" "Disciple" and "Hate Worldwide" were some other highlights of the set. I think what did it for me was the fans, clearly the most rabid and adoring. It also helped that it was dusk and the lights and ambience really took on at that time making Slayer even better. Metallica was set to close the night and as always they impressed. Playing only 3 songs post 1991 really made me happy because their best stuff was from 83-91. My favorite song of the night was "Fade to Black" with other favorites such as "Creeping Death" "Blackened" "Seek and Destroy" and "Sanitarium". After my second time seeing Metallica, this one definitely the best. Eventually it came time for the bands to jam and without Dave Mustaine this time, as well as the usually absent Tom Araya. They covered Motorhead's "Overkill" and had all 4 drummers switch after the song and replayed it with new guitar soloers. Although I loved the performance, I couldn't hear a single vocal on account of the 12 or so guitars shredding at once. However, as a whole it was the best show I've ever seen. Sound quality was excellant and the fans were the best!

    Awesome Show!

    by Schaef2000 on 10/10/11Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Have to admit, I wasn't really thrilled to see Metallica since I do not like much of their newer stuff. I was really going to see the other three bands, mostly Slayer. But I have to say that all four bands really kicked ass!!! Great show, great crowd, great day overall.
