    Not the Same

by ZakwoanH on 2/25/20Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San Antonio

Ben Folds was not the same as your average rock-star or night at the symphony. Paired with a full orchestra, Ben Folds was awesome! I had a great time. The first act were several songs I didn't know, but still greatly enjoyed. The second act was a giant sing-a-long. He told great stories about how he wrote his music and watching his fingers tickle-the-ivories was incredible. Go if you ever get the chance. You won't regret it.

    Disappointing

by C. M. on 2/22/20Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San Antonio

I paid $100 for a ticket in the balcony and my view was obscured by a railing. The speakers blasted at us in our seats so loudly that it reverberated in our chests. The music from that position was so loud that it was difficult to hear or appreciate the concert, which would have been terrific if not for those fairly major issues.

    What an awesome time!

by Luke on 2/19/20Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San Antonio

Ben Folds was a ton of fun. Great singing, wonderful symphony accompaniment and lots of little jokes. It was well worth the price of admission.

    Mic check anyone?

by DLH on 2/19/20Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San Antonio

The SASO never disappoints and the arrangements of Ben’s music were out of this world unfortunately the vocal levels were too low for his voice. Ben has a soft, tenor voice and for most of the concert the orchestra ate him up. One person in our party made a comment to the house manager and she offered a listening assistance device - no one in my group is hard of hearing, the orchestra was just too loud to hear Ben’s singing. How is that fixed? By bringing up his vocal mic. A big let down from my groups point of view but again at least the orchestra nailed it and their playing was enjoyable. Wish we could have heard Ben’s singing better.

Go see Ben Folds with your symphony orchestra!

by Carol42 on 7/28/14Constellation Brands–Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - Canandaigua

This tour is a win-win. You get to see Ben Folds, who is always entertaining, and you support your local symphony orchestra, who are always underfunded and deserve your support.

    Ben Folds Rocks the suburbs!

by m0m099 on 7/26/14Constellation Brands–Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - Canandaigua

A perfect summer evening with the RPO and topped with Ben Folds! Played his familiar favorites and as well as showed his creative genius making one up on stage. CMAC is my favorite venue!

Ben Folds was a great show!

by weezerrules on 7/25/14Constellation Brands–Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - Canandaigua

Had lawn seats and had a great time. He played his piano concerto, orchestrated a whole song on stage with RPO and sang Still Fighting It. It was awesome. Plus he told lots of stories of where his lyrics come from. OH and I forget to mention that he blew us all away with Rock This Bitch :) Good times all around.

Ben Folds never disappoints. The music was great especially during 'Rock this bitch' when he made up a musical arrangement on the fly. Then after the first encore he came out and rocked out solo on the piano with a couple of his more popular songs.

Ben Folds + Orchestra = Fantastic

by dawnangel003 on 7/25/14Constellation Brands–Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - Canandaigua

Ben Folds is amazing all on his own but pair him with an orchestra and he works magic. This concert was great. He played all my favorite songs especially ones that are just wonderful/beautiful to hear. He played the piano concerto he wrote which was amazing also. He was witty and funny and his rapport with the conductor, the orchestra and the audience was fantastic! Not only that but he did two encores! He's the coolest piano rock artist in my book.
