Australian Bee Gees rocked the house!!!

by Deathcow on 2/10/14Centennial Hall - Tucson

My wife and I did not know what to expect, from the start they blew us away. Their look , their voices, and their playing to and with the audience was fantastic. They reproduced the music as close to the original as you could get, and the light show was great. But when they got into singing "You Should Be Dancing" and invited the audience out into the aisle, they brought down the house. I witnessed 400 of the happy-est women in the world rocking their hearts out. And the rest of the audience clapping and singing along. Smoke, lights and music what more could you ask for!!

All three performers had good voices and clearly studied the mannerisms of their character.

    Autralian Bee Gees Show Amazing

by GrannyAZ on 2/8/14Centennial Hall - Tucson

Close your eyes, and you hear them. Perfect pitch. Perfect harmonies. Perfect falsettos. Those amazing, haunting tunes that stay in your head. The wonderful dance numbers that get you up on your feet every time you hear them to this day. Now open your eyes, and you see them. All three of them. And while your head tells you that it can't be possible; that two of the beloved lads have passed on, your heart will leap at the sight as you watch them sing together, as if nothing has changed. And for most of the audience, frozen in time, nothing had.

    Bittersweet

    by 520Jamie on 2/7/14Centennial Hall - Tucson

I saw the Bee Gee's last performance in Las Vegas at the MGM. I am so glad I did. Seeing the theatre performance was a bittersweet reminder of the bands history and talent. And with only one brother remaining, the passage of time.

    Brought back memories!

    by RiverRat53 on 2/6/14Centennial Hall - Tucson

The music started out slow but then got better. I liked the video presentations showing current events at the time. However I think the wigs and costumes could have been better. They needed work on their accents too.

The show was so much fun and took me back to my disco days. The voices of all the artists were great and hitting those high notes was awesome!!

    Entertaining

by TortoiseMom on 2/5/14Centennial Hall - Tucson

The tribute show was very entertaining. While the performers were very good, they didn't really have the true strong falsetto of the Bee Gees. I guess that's what sets the real Bee Gees apart. It was great to hear their music. The most annoying aspect and I hope they correct it was in the stage lighting where a strong light beacon pierced into the audience. It was blinding and unnecessary. One could not see the performers unless the singer stood in front of the light and blocked it. Whoever thought that light was a good idea never sat in the audience.

People who left the performance at intermission in order to get home for the Super Bowl missed the best part of the event. The trio stayed within their capabilities and did a creditable job. If we had left at intermission, which we were tempted to do, we would have rated them at less than average. This is our first UA show that did not live up to expectations. We really cant believe that such an average performance garnered all those rave reviews we had read prior to the program. Maybe they were just tired that day, but there wasn't much enthusiasm emoted.
