The Art Institute is 2 blocks West of Lake Shore Drive (US 41).
From Lake Shore Drive exit at Monroe or Jackson Boulevard.

The museum can also be easily reached from I-90/94 or 290.

Parking:

Reasonably priced underground parking is available at the East Monroe Street Garage, Millennium Park Garage, and the Grant Park North and South Garages.

Box Office Hours:

Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and Friday: 10:30am-5pm
Thursday: 10:30am-8pm
Saturday, Sunday: 10:00am-5:00pm
The museum is open everyday except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Days.

Will Call:

Will Call may be picked up at Michigan Avenue.

Accessible Seating:

The Michigan Avenue is wheelchair accessible, as are all public areas inside the Art Institute. A limited number of wheelchairs are availble free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.

General Rules:

A Check room is located at the Michigan Avenue lobby. There is a $1.00 charge per item for checking service. Food and drink are not allowed in the galleries and cannot be checked.

Long Umbrellas

Photography of loan exhibitions is not permitted. Still photography of works in the permanent collection is permitted, however NO tripods, lights, flash bulbs or video equipment will be allowed.

Recording Devices are not permitted.

Children Rules:

Children under 12 will be admitted free.
