Best show I have ever seen!

by PatLoz on 11/19/12House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

I have been to many concerts. More than I can count. I have surfed the biggest crowds and moshed the biggest pits. But never in my life had I been to a show tht was so up close and personal to each band. So intense and fan fueled where it seemed that the only time the energy was below true mayhem, was when the bands were rotating. The sound was great, the crowd was amazing, the bands were mind blowing and each and every second was what a real metal concert should be like. The stage diving of the bass player and vocalist of Glass Clouds was a great way to set the tone for the night. And when the singer of The Ghost Inside had a conversation with a group of balcony viewers, I felt like he was doing what he loves to do. Not to mention the true feeling of excitement and inner chaos building up inside me as the curtain opened to reveal the smoke filled stage holding Miss May I. As they growled through their setlist I could feel the intensity and brutality in each an every song. And as the curtain closed at the end of their regular set list, the whole crowd began cheering, "ONE MORE SONG!! ONE MORE SONG!! ONE MORE SONG!!" And as the curtain began reopening, the whole venue exploded with excitement as they threw down one last encore song for the devoted fans standing before them. Overall, the show was an amazing experience, with amazing bands, amazing friends, and an amazing venue. By FAR, the best show I have seen.

    Hardcore Show....

by animpulsemom on 11/6/12Royale Boston - Boston

My teenager said this show was awesome, and he liked the venue. He also liked how close he could get to the bands, and said he would see a show here again.... He loves the bands and is a loyal fan to the hardcore scene.

Everyone played great. Like Moths to Flames and Miss May I stood out the most. Would for sure see Miss May I again. Awesome venue also, right in downtown.

    Was fun, but....

by MarioTaddeoJr on 10/28/12Royale Boston - Boston

The pit was a dance floor and when some guys threw water it was hard to be in there with out busting your ass. Glasscloud was on first and their sound sucked and the sound booth was not use to Metal at this venue you could tell. the Amity Affliction came on and people were surprised how good they were ~ good sound. Like Moths To Flames was sick but their bassist ruined the set by turning his bass up way to loud and muffled out the whole band. Their new drummer wasn't as good as their old one. The Ghost Inside came on and killed it, everyone was mainly there for them. They had the perfect sound and energy they needed to win over the crowd. The led singer of Bury Your Dead came out at the end of their set with Dan O'Connor of Four Year Strong coming out to play bass and they played the 'BURY YOUR DEAD' intro/outro and was pretty sick. A lot of kids left because it was on a Thursday night and Miss May I was good but their sound was to loud and that was ok, but if they turned down a bit, it would have been better. They closed with "Day By Day" and that pissed me off. Had to be 21 years of age to leave the venue for a cigarette which was pretty bs. All in all, good show.
