This concert was amazing. Jon Foreman interacted with the crowd great. I love to see when members of the bands actually love their job instead of it just being a job and all the members of Switchfoot do seem to love performing.

by JCtheDc on 12/13/10Center Stage Theatre - AtlantaI bought 6 tickets via my iPhone. I had no idea until after I bought the tickets that this was a 21 and over show. My plan was to take my family. 2. Its freakin Tuyesday night. Why the heck would there be 3 bands? The headliner doesnt get on stage til 11:30. had I been allowed to take my kids I would have been livid that the show would end past 1am on a school night.

by srodgers07 on 12/13/10Center Stage Theatre - AtlantaMost people were there to see Switchfoot - not 99X. All the extra "fluff" from 99X was unnecessary.

Rating: 3 out of 5 Switchfoot awesome; 99X self-indulgent, juvenile
by capdawg on 12/9/10Center Stage Theatre - AtlantaI purchased tickets to see Switchfoot, period. I thought Paper Tongues was actually pretty decent as an opening band, but American Bang was dreadful. They were classless, and the music itself lacked breadth and meaning. It was simply noise - far worse than fingernails on a chalkboard. Switchfoot, as expected, was amazing. There's a huge difference between the bands who have class and show respect to their audiences, and those (like American Bang) who are self-absorbed and do nothing to build rapport with their fans. As for the Mistle Toe Jam event, I was disappointed. I listened to 99X loyally for 8-9 years, from 1996 until 2004 or so. Those were the glory days. It was smarter, but also had that edge. Today, 99X seems to have been dumbed down, and the attempts at humor they made with videos and stage announcements came across as crude, juvenile and unsophisticated. It's a surprise to me that 99X and Switchfoot would have partnered for this event. When did concerts stop being about the music, and more about the idiot DJs and making sure you get drunk?
