    Magician Convention

by Cat123 on 9/6/11Lila Cockrell Theater - San Antonio

The event was the last night of a three-day convention for magicians. Most of the audience was made up of magicians, magician friends and relatives and more magician people. The last night was comedy magicians. It was more talking than performing magic. I expected more magic tricks with more of the ahh factor. Two of the magicians were from England and hard to understand. The show started out with the magician association's business--passing on to a new president, giving out awards, information about next year's event etc. This is very boring to the "regular" non-magician audience. The magician from New Orleans and the juggler, Ivan, were the most interesting and entertaining. A lot of the humor was adult humor, not vulgar, but adults would be the only ones to get the humor. Overall, it was an alright evening. The convention is taking place in Houston next year. I would not drive to Houston to see the acts. Perhaps if it were only the magicians doing spectacular magic, I would have liked it more.

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed this event. The entertainers were magical (pun intended) as well as very funny. Even the one non-magic act (juggler) was outstanding. More advertising should be done to bring in a bigger crowd!

    International Stars of Magic review

by majandy105 on 9/5/11Lila Cockrell Theater - San Antonio

Magic show was great just wished I would have been notified about it several weeks in advance to tell other people. I found out about it one day before the event! Poor communication .

    International show was professional

by rbarr on 9/5/11Lila Cockrell Theater - San Antonio

All the acts were great, but Scott Land and his puppets really brought the house down. Thanks for bringing these terrific performances to San Antonio.

    Champions were defeated!!!

by Alex21 on 9/4/11Lila Cockrell Theater - San Antonio

I expected to be amazed by a magic show. Instead, it seemed to be a contest from mediocre to okay magicians. PA sound was very poor . . . MC was even worse. Little 5 year old girl picked from the audience spoke more clearly than the "professional" MC.
