TESSERACT IN CONCERT:

British prog-metal titans Tesseract are pioneers of the djent metal technique characterized by distorted, palm-muted guitar chords, joining bands like Meshuggah and Textures as torchbearers of the niche style. With their syncopated riffs, epic solos, and distinctive djent playing, the band put on one heck of an epic live show, slaying fans around the globe with the bludgeoning force of thunderous tracks like "Nascent" and "Nocturne." Back on the road for their latest tour, fans of face-melting metal can expect total satisfaction as the band shred their way through their catalog.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Started by Acle Kahney in 2003, Tesseract emerged from the burgeoning djent metal scene pioneered by Kahney and other guitarists like Periphy's Misha Mansoor and Monuments' John Browne. After years of establishing the style and building a band around the project, Kahney and Tesseract released the Concealing Fate EP in 2010 before embarking on a headlining tour in support of the release. The EP formed the basis of their 2011 debut One, which made considerable waves among the metal community and earned them the Progressive Music Award for New Blood. Sophomore album Altered States would follow in 2013, earning the band another round of praise and paving the way for continued touring.

Brooklyn Bowl has an amazing sound system, and Tesseract is by far the best band I've seen live.

    The best concert experience ever

by AJ on 11/17/23Brooklyn Bowl Nashville - Nashville

The sound and lighting crew are the best in the world! Because that was the best looking, and sounding performance I’ve ever seen! and I’ve seen bands like Meshuggah, Mastodon, and Gojira. The lineup they chose for the tour was amazing as alluvial and intervals sounded and performed amazingly. 20/10 would recommend seeing Tesseract live 👍

    Incredible show! An unforgettable experience!

by John Fox Bass on 11/16/23Brooklyn Bowl Nashville - Nashville

This was easily one of the very best shows I have been to in my entire life. (Age 57, so LOTS of shows!). I had not heard of TesseracT until a few weeks before this show. Instantly, I'm a huge fan! I listened to a bunch of tracks online so I knew I was going to like it, but I was completely blown away by the awesome live sound, the energy of the music, their commanding stage presence, and the amazing light show. I cannot think of a show that I enjoyed more. Intervals were fantastic as well. The mix was not dialed in very well for Alluvial (the first band of the evening), I didn't understand a single word of any song, which was a bummer. In contrast, I could understand TesseracT's lyrics quite well. Also, he happens to be an EXCELLENT singer, which is always a nice bonus with heavy music. I sure hope to be able to see TesseracT again. Super happy I went!!

    Next Level Show

by PS on 11/6/23The Observatory North Park - San Diego

I drove all the way from Mexico to see both Intervals and Tesseract and they didn't disappoint. The energy they bring into the show was amazing, even tho the crowd was not the most energetic at times, they kept the attitude and make it 10000% worth. Love it so much can't wait to see them again!

    Awesome performances, muddy sound. Spokane

by Jess on 10/31/23Knitting Factory - Spokane - Spokane

All the bands put on incredible performances, so the 5 stars is based on that. The Spokane knitting factory really puts the bass forward. Even though I knew what I was listening for, i couldn’t make out other instruments over the rumble of the painful kick drum from the PA system.

    Tesseract/Intervals Amazing

    by Bogan66 on 10/31/23Knitting Factory - Spokane - Spokane

Tesseract and intervals were awesome. The opener (don’t recall their name) was just the usual chuggy DM band… nothing new or interesting. Appreciate Tesseract played old and new. They’re as good live as they are on the album. Intervals sounded great also but the venue audio crew is always very hit and miss. Either way too much treble or bass, not well balanced. At times it was hard to even hear Matt’s guitar. Great venue otherwise.
