About

Featuring two of the funniest comedy minds in America, the hard-rocking, hilarious duo of Jack Black and Kyle Gass -- better known as Tenacious D -- have delivered thousands of side-splitting laughs through their profanely hysterical songs ever since their inception in 1994. The duo describe themselves (with tongue firmly in cheek) as "The Greatest Band in the World." From venues like Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion to Radio City Music Hall, Tenacious D tour-goers lucky enough to see them in concert will get every single cent's worth of their ticket price through all the big laughs in their rollicking and foul fake arena-rock songs. Expect plenty of crowd-participation singalongs in the middle of big, crunchy electric guitar riffs that make up insanely catchy songs.

Tenacious D is currently riding high on the wave of commercial and critical acclaim for their latest album, 2012's "Rise of the Fenix." This comedy-rock masterpiece features hilarious songs, like the title track "Rise of the Fenix," "Low Hanging Fruit," "To Be the Best" and "They F----- Our A----." It was the latest success in a long and varied career for the band, which first gained popularity through their appearances on the David Cross/Bob Odenkirk sketch show, "Mr. Show With Bob and David," in the early 1990s. Their first album, "Tenacious D," featured drum work from the great Dave Grohl and two memorable singles in "Tribute" and "Wonderboy." In between Jack Black's prolific movie career, the band found the time to make their own movie -- "Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny" -- and released an accompanying soundtrack to the film in 2006. The self-proclaimed "greatest band in the world" might be inconsistent as far as their album-releasing and touring schedule goes, owing to the A-list movie star status of one of its members, but fans can rest assured that when they come around, they'll deliver some of the funniest, rocking-est tunes to ever be penned.

    Spicy Meatball Tour ‘23

    by Lee on 11/14/23

I got to experience JB and KG in Franklin! Getting to see them in person was everything I thought it’d be.(though I do wish I knew how to get the vip.) The way they performed showed how much they love to rock out for their fans! The atmosphere of the venue was amazing; we all laughed and sang our hearts out till end of the show. Also the souvenirs weren’t insanely expensive. I love these guys. They’ve always cheered me up when I’m down. And I would LOVE to see them again!!

It was a great show. Super fun. If you're a fan, of Tencious D, you'll definitely have a great time. They played all their hits and even an Led Zepplin Cover. Along with the music were a bunch of little acts and antics on the stage and it was so entertaining!

by Kadi on 9/18/23Germania Insurance Amphitheater - Austin

I didn't know what to expect but I really liked Tenacious D growing up and now that I'm my own adult, I finally saw Jack Black and KG and it was like watching the Pick of Destiny movie live??? It was more comedic than I ever expected and the music plus stage sets were great! <3

    So-so show

by Not a gamer on 9/18/23Germania Insurance Amphitheater - Austin

The Tenacious D super fans stole the show. It was fun but I was disappointed in the level of yelling, chanting and singing over Jack Black. It never let-up!

Another great show - missing one song

by Kielbasa on 9/18/23Germania Insurance Amphitheater - Austin

The D brought it hard - great venue, great event. I am disapointed that the did not play flagship song Kielbasa Sausage - it really brings the fans together -but was otherwise happy with the show. Go D!!
