Ten Years After Tickets

It was great to see all those classic performers. Two of my all time favorite bands are Canned Heat and Ten Years After and this was the first time I had seen either one. It was frustrating that each band played only 30 minutes. I would have preferred the show be only 4 bands and 40 minutes each. The sound was just OK. The base was turned up too high so it became muddy - you could barely hear the individual bass notes, and it overwhelmed the vocals.

The show was the best of the best: each great band did their best know songs. Like Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top says: Hit it and Quit it. The momentum was high all night. I was happy to hear they plan a Rock and Blues Fest tour for 2014!

This concert was a dream come true for me. It was a real thrill to see 5 great sets featuring Canned Heat, Pat Travers, Rick Derringer, Edgar Winter and Ten Years After. I smiled all the way through and it reminded me of the Fillmore East concerts I was able to see as a 15 and 16 year old. It was truly a blessing to see these great showmen.

I was fortunate to have front row seats. It was very clear the effort and intensity that everyone played with. This amazed me as the venue, small as it was wasn't nearly sold out. Everyone, bar none played like this was their last concert. The only thing was that some of the bands didn't play very long. There were 5 bands that played and with equipment changes that doesn't leave a long time to play. I really did enjoy everyone.

What a great time seeing these iconic groups again after all these years. The music stirred up some great memories of times gone by. I was lucky enough to be front row center. The bands were tight and the music was great. They all needed just a little more time to play 1 or 2 more than they did. The guitarists in all bands were great! A true clinic!

Taking me back to simpler times....loved revisiting the music of my youth.

Overall, this was a very good show. I enjoyed all the acts and was reminded of how good the music of the 60s and 70s was. Rick Derringer was awesome and Ten Years After took the prize that night.

surprised 10 yrs. after didn't say anything about alvin, edgar is very talented, as was rick . . .. .overall a bit too loud overall, but i have tinnitus from all the rock concerts as a kid.

It was a good show -- I especially loved hearing Ten Years After again, and Leo STILL knocks my socks off. It has always been an entertaining band to see ... and I was of course saddened to hear of Alvin Lee's passing {hadn't known it before going to the show}. The "youngster" playing lead, however, did a fine job.
