Had a great time with the group that I attended with. Met some of my other music loving friends. Overall, concert was great!
Had a great time listening to the Tejano Legends, especially Little Joe and Ruben Ramos!
Tejano legends has always draw sellout crowds and this was no different, the artists were awesome all three of them, the also very nice, just needs to improve on the seat. Let’s get more on this style of to El Paso, there is a big demand for from what I saw at this awesome concert!
Johnny Hernandez was very good. Brought back memories of when he used to sing with Little Joe. Sunny Osuna was a big disappointment. I was hoping he would sing some of his Spanish songs, but he didn't. He sang some, but not some of his more popular ones. His voice is gone. He could not hold a note, and he was off key or would only sing 1 verse of his songs. I also don't know why these show promoters use local talent for an opening. Don' t need it.
Ruben Ramos is unforgettable, if it wasn't for a time limit at the Plaza Theatre he would have kept playing. Always puts on an amazing show! Sunny Ozuna was great, but seemed unprepared for the show. He kept starting a song, then would stop the band and start another one. However, it was all in the name of a good cause for our men and women that serve in the military receiving mp3's with Sunday services recorded to them. That is wonderful... I can't wait to see which Tejano Legends are brought to El Paso! It is truly a treat since Tejano music is no longer as strong as it once was. The cons of the show was a mic feedback problem, sound checks could improve and tall people that wear hats obstruct an otherwise great seat.
Really enjoyed the show, great to see that these bands are still out there performing.
Ruben Ramos was GREAT! Sunny was good, could have been great, but his band members seemed as if he just picked them off the street - they did not know his songs.
1.The first scheduled performance never showed up. 2. The second performer is very talented BUT he could use allot of help finding additional band members and maybe replace some of the originals. 3. The third performer is also talented but he needs to have backups to replace his band members when someone can't make it. The quality of the performance was compromised when the guitar player tryed to fill-in playing the keyboard at the say time. At moments it sounded like he was just learning.
I was really surprized at how great this concert was. It brought back old memories of playing outside while my family had cook outs while listening this type of music. Too bad we did not have a dance space because we would have liked to cut a rug.
