About

Tedeschi Trucks Band is a 12-piece powerhouse ensemble led by the husband/wife duo of guitarist Derek Trucks and singer/guitarist Susan Tedeschi, "two of the best roots rock musicians of their generation" (NPR). From sold-out multi-night residencies across America to barnstorming tours through Europe and Japan to the flagship Wheels of Soul annual summer amphitheater tour, the band's shows are an eagerly anticipated highlight of the live music calendar and "nothing short of exhilarating" (Salon). Whether on stage or in the studio, when these supremely talented artists get together, it's a musical experience of profound quality.

    Fantastic Performance

by LeeBo7945 on 3/18/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

TTB just gets better and better. The show included solos from every band member on an instrument and highlighted each of the back up singers as well. This was easily the best performance of the band that I have heard since I started following them about five years ago. Gabe Dixon is a tremendous addition to the band. Looking forward to seeing them again.

The embodiment of the Spirit of the Blues

by Mark Oyaas on 3/17/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

Once upon a time in America, a timeless spirit that few can see but many can feel floated into the Mississippi Delta soaking psychic healing into the souls of slaves and free poor, providing nourishment for their souls starved by physical deprivation. From Robert Johnson to Elvis Presley individuals stood up and out, manifesting this spirit and inspiring those who needed the same nourishment. The ball has been rolling and picking up more mass and energy across the decades. Today there are fewer greater manifestations of this miracle than the Tedeschi Trucks Band. All of the depth and impact of "the spirit"was on display in the Durham Performing Arts Center March 14, 2024. The band's founders and name sakes Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi have earned the extraordinary accolades they receive. Their creativity in song writing and arranging is a beauty to behold. It is exraordinary to think their talents with voice and instruments are also at the highest plane. Having seen theses amazing performers in other capacities, solo and with other bands, over many years I could not have imagined what it would be like to pull together this amazing group of equally talented performers and collaborators. The vaule of the addition of Gabe Dixon to the mix was certainly front and ceter at the DPAC. We mixed a family list and traveled cross counrty to catch this performance. Whether you are considering finding the band on a road trip or seeing them in your home town, TTB is a can't miss!

    Fantastic Show

by Rusty on 3/17/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

Fantastic show. Fantastic venue. The theater was made for this type of performance. The band was on point. Not the first time, we've seen Tedeschi Trucks, but definitely the best. Susan was in charge, and everyone made sure she wasn't alone. Hard to beat their performance.

by Randy on 3/17/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

The band was fabulous as always! My issue is with who sponsored the VIP meeting. Because I didn’t get anything from the VIP meeting because no knew where to go to the meeting with the band.

    The Best Live Band Today!

by K. Day on 3/13/24Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

A Tedeschi Trucks Band show is always a unique experience. It's all about the live music experience. There's no fancy light show, no choreography, no samples, computers, click tracks, auto-tune or lip syncing to tracks. Just 100% real live singing and playing in the moment by some of the best in the business. They do a different setlist at each and every show with an incredible mix of great original songs and covers spanning the history of American music from folk, blues, rock, soul and jazz. Every member of this 12 piece ensemble gets a chance to shine and the combination of Susan's powerhouse vocals with Derek's incomparable guitar work is nothing short of entrancing. This band will transport you to places you didn't know you could go. This is how live music is supposed to be!

I thought they all were extremely talented. They have such a unique sound. I first heard the song Midnight in Harlem and fell in love with it. They did not disappoint. Blues with a southern influence. Does not get any better. Loved it.
