Ummm...Next time I'll pass
by MrKnowitALLN909 on 8/5/13Primm Valley Resort- Buffalo Bills Arena of the Stars - PrimmI was excited to the core of my being when I got notification from The Primm Valley Resort that Sylvia Browne would be in town doing a show. I immediately called my best friend and booked our room and tickets. Anticipation was getting the best of me and I decided to look up reviews since I was so excited about being in the presence of none other than famed psychic Sylvia Browne. The reviews were unfortunately grim, VERY GRIM, yet SPOT ON! The show as others stated was on time. That was a plus. Basically in a nutshell I'm pretty much echoing the reviews of those below because they were so accurate. Sylvia hands down is a comedienne. Psychic...well...im not so sure. The first part of the show we were all hanging onto her every word. She gave us a little background, talked about her family, failed marriage, about her husband that stole a million dollars, and introduced us to her new husband who wheeled her out in a wheelchair as she was still recovering from a broken hip. After giving us background she moved into the importance of surrounding ourselves with the white light and doing good and treating each other good etc. Now shes a great inspirational speaker, but lets face it, the majority of us were there to see her psychic abilities in action. After the introduction and history, she went into a short meditation which consisted of placing palms face up, inhaling and holding for 8 seconds, exhaling and repeating. We then went directly into "readings". Through a lottery/raffle system, audience members were randomly chosen based of the raffle ticket number they were given when we walked in. This is where the show went down hill. I honestly became quite uncomfortable because it really didnt seem as if Sylvia took any thought when giving answers. Now i must admit some people asked some "dumb" questions, but at the same time some answers were quick, random, and seemingly off the top of her head. One lady was so emotional that she had to keep allowing other people to go ahead of her while she collected herself. When she finally asked the question, it seemed as if Sylvia simply gave the most generic, blanket type response. Example, "My mom died xyz years ago. Is there a message she wants to give me?" Sylvia: "Yes, she says shes proud of you". But this was the basic type of response throughout the entire "Reading" session. I wont say she isnt psychic, but I think a more intimate reading with just a few audience members vs 50 might have given us an opportunity to see Sylvia really tune into the true person she was reading. Would I go again, sure for the first part, but when the readings begin, I would definitely leave. It was very uncomfortable as the audience began to all feel that Sylvias responses were full of bull.
