Fantastic venue. I have performed live onstage with the Spirit of Phoenix Men's Chorus several years ago, but never have had the opportunity to attend a performance as a patron. The Scottsdale Chorus was absolutely enthralling. They were spectacular; top notch. I enjoyed their performance immensely and am now a huge fan.
The performance was fabulous. The quartet was wonderful. The history was very informative and interesting. We loved every minute.
Worth every dollar! The ladies of the Scottsdale Chorus did an amazing job as did the ladies of Max Factor quartet!
The four time international champion Scottsdale Sweet Adelines are pure Aural Ecstasy! The pure pleasure of being pummeled by these ladies' pipes is impossible to pin down. And Maxx Factor was marvelous! Brava ladies, brava!
The 50th Anniversary show of the Scottsdale Sweet Adelines chorus was an unforgettable experience. We drove up from Tucson for the day, and thoroughly enjoyed the chorus and the guest quartet, Maxx Factor. The only somewhat jarring note was that the sound system in the Hall injected quite a bit of feedback into the chorus and quartet performance.
The entire show moved right along and was filled with beautiful harmony, video clips of past performances and unique movements by the talented women! This was one of the most entertaining productions we have seen in a long time -- including shows in Vegas.
As usual, the Scottsdale Chorus did not disappoint. They are all beautiful and wonderful entertainers, both in voice, dance, and antics. Everyone should have the opportunity to hear them at least once in a lifetime. We were also entertained by the award winning quartet, Maxx Factor, from the Maryland area of our country. They have also won many awards (as has our Chorus), and sang for U.S. Senators and the Governor of Maryland.
I have been to many of the Sweet Adeline's concerts and with out a doubt this was the worst. Even though I paid $30.00 for a ticket, I felt like I was at a reunion that I shouldn't have been at. The Adeline's did not do much of a show and it definitley was too long! Very disappointed.
Totally amazing! Great displays in the lobby ahead of time started the story of 50 years of great singing, followed by the real thing in the auditorium. Great videos gave us a chance to look back and see how far the chorus has come. Wonderful song selection, fun & funny guest quartet in Maxx Factor, and beautiful sound from the chorus.
The chorus was energetic with fantastic sound. Loved it. Maxx Factor was great. The only thing bad was the sound system. The center microphone distorted the sound! This was particularly unfortunate for the Maxx Factor Quartet. Even when the chorus sang (especially in the 2nd half), there was some feedback/ringing from the mics. Maybe the sound tech just didn't get it right. Too bad! But the overall show was GREAT!
