About

Everyone remembers the moment when they first watched that viral video of Susan Boyle’s live performance of “I Dreamed a Dream” (from the Broadway musical Les Miserables) on the U.K.’s televised talent show, “Britain’s Got Talent.” One minute she was your average church choir member from Scotland, and the next she was an international superstar, being touted as possessing the “voice of an angel.” Now, audiences around the globe are clamoring for tickets to watch Susan perform gorgeous renditions of such timeless classics as “Wild Horses,” “Memory,” “You’ll See” and “Cry Me A River” LIVE in concert. Susan has also been praised by the likes Cameron Mackintosh (producer of Les Miserables and Miss Saigon) who calls her singing “heart-touching, thrilling and uplifting” and legendary Broadway actress and singer Elaine Paige who has called her “a role model for everyone who has a dream.” Susan Boyle is especially admired by fans of other golden-voiced artists like Andrea Bocelli, Charlotte Church and Hayley Westenra.

    plenty of room for improvement

by Lauriss on 10/23/15DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

For the cost of these tickets, I expected a lot better. Susan forgot the lyrics of one song & had to start over; for another song, she tried multiple times to accompany herself on the piano and finally gave up. Sheer vanity! A 10-year-old could have done better. The opening act, and the two backup singers, had fine voices but were so cheesy in their dress and presentation. Susan has a lovely voice but was frequently way ahead of the music. Her attempts at choreography were (unintentionally) hilarious; on the other hand, her 'jokes' were stilted & cringy. And what's with the emcee introducing her by telling the audience to stand and applaud - before she'd sung even a single note??!? I give this two stars despite all this because it was entertaining enough that my husband didn't fall asleep.

    Didn't want it to end!

by Azrial on 11/23/14North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

I bought tickets to Susan Boyle's concert as a gift to my husband for Father's Day. Couldn't have given him a better present. We both thoroughly enjoyed the concert and he declared it the best concert he had ever attended. I agree. Susan was a delight, her singing was exquisite and we hated to see it end. We agreed it was the first concert we could remember where we wanted it to go on and on. If you ever have the chance to see her, go for it. Well worth every penny!

Susan Boyle Jacksonville FL wonderful evening

    by Lee1967 on 11/12/14Moran Theatre - Jacksonville

I was thrilled to see Susan Boyle in Jacksonville at the Moran Theatre Nov. 6. Having been at the first stop on her tour, San Diego Oct. 8, I heard Susan announce then that she woke up with a sore throat. To wake up with a sore throat on the opening night of a tour she'd been wanting to do for 5-1/2 years must have been dreadful for her. I believe many artists would have cancelled but Susan soldiered on and even with a sore throat thrilled the audience with 24 songs. Afterwards she was rushed to a specialist who couldn't believe she had performed 24 songs with her throat in that condition and insisted she observe complete silence for 36 hours. Therefore, Susan had to cancel the next tour stop scheduled for Oct. 9 but resumed the tour on Oct. 16. Altogether she completed 17 tour stop prior to reaching Jacksonville, battling her throat problems all the way. She must have been worn out also crossing the country coast to coast on a bus. Susan got a first-hand experience of just how big this country is! The last stop on the tour was Jacksonville. Susan again thrilled us with her 21-song setlist, but could not manage the encore. It was very clear that she had given it 100% and could not do more. Later we were told that besides the throat problems, Susan was completely drained and she was very emotional about this being the end of the tour. She was overcome by the outpouring of affection of her fans at every stop on the tour - standing ovations, crowds waiting at the stage door every night. She also told us that night that it was her mother's birthday and she had a look of sadness in her eyes from the beginning of the show. I know some people have complained that Susan did not complete the encore. For me, I'm just thrilled that she gave us 21 wonderful songs that night. I believe if people had been expecting 21 songs they would have been more than thrilled. Although she was worn out, Susan still greeted her fans waiting at the stage door and spoke with each fan individually and gave each fan a hug. I was particularly happy that my mother was the first to get a hug from Susan and she remarked how Susan listened to her intently when they spoke. Such a great lady in what must have been a low moment for her to think of her fans and to give us memories to treasure forever. Susan Boyle has a great voice and as she has more experience performing at her own concerts, she is becoming a great performer. I'm looking forward to the chance to see and hear her again.

    Susan Boyle Performance

by sdlfkj on 11/11/14Times Union Ctr Perf Arts Moran Theater - Jacksonville

Lovely music. I am an amateur singer and realized she had trouble at the start. Thirty fifth performance? She sang the long high energy "junk song" just before "I Dreamed a Dream" and used up her voice. I saw her losing it and knew she wouldn't finish. She should have done her signature song immediately after break. What a shame. Disappointing. I still buy her CDs. I was in England when she went for finals on TV. All of UK was watching. What happened to Etiquette? People applaud at the beginning and end of each song. When the artist is singing, be absolutely quiet from beginning to end. Then applaud all you want. I want to hear the first and last measures.

A Fantastic Show from a Great Lady.

by sithcaraid on 11/11/14Times Union Ctr Perf Arts Moran Theater - Jacksonville

It was great to see Susan Boyle a fellow Scot in person. She did a fantastic show and I was amazed at the amount of songs she sung. Lance Ellington who started the show was just great, love his voice. I loved everything and the choir ( which I believe was from Jacksonville) was a great addition.

    Susan Boyle Concert

by grandpoppi on 11/10/14Times Union Ctr Perf Arts Moran Theater - Jacksonville

I enjoy the Susan Boyle CD I have but her concert was a big disappointment. She could not hit many notes in songs she selected. At the end of the concert her back up musicians encouraged a stand ovation and calling her back on stage for and encore. After several minutes the back up musicians played another number without Susan and the clamor for an encore was repeated. After several more minutes Susan reappeared on stage, started a song, and then abruptly turned and left the stage. Then the curtain dropped ! Weird!! She is obviously is a very temperamental Lady with little appreciation for her audience who pay big bucks to hear her. I wish I had just saved my money and gone to a movie.
