Good Music, Space was at a premium
by Spit451 on 8/31/18Embassy Theatre - Fort WayneGood music, excellent food & drinks. Space was a bit awkward, not enough places to sit. The room(s) were not good for the volumn of music. A lot of distortion.

Awesome to be in the historic building. Games on tables need instructions. Maybe some simple card games would be better. The roof is cool but needs some work. It was sooooo hot up there. Some table umbrellas would be great or make some kind of covering for shade. It needs some character too, maybe some plants or some thing. We played the corn hole game with a couple of other couples, put some other games out there for everyone to play like World of Beer has on their patio.....like giant Jenga...... Set up one of the bars on the roof too.
Very disappointed. Not the least bit enjoyable. Probably won't attend in the future. This is the entertainment I'm reviewing not the Embassy.
Show was just ok. The worst thing is they ran out of food by 7pm.
The venue was really nice. We loved the rooftop deck. The bar staff was friendly. The Hoppy Gnome could have had more food options. The band URB was full of eneegy and they all sounded great!
The newly renovated Ballroom & Rooftop of the Embassy are absolutely gorgeous! They look like they've always been here. Was very happy to witness this new space for only $5! The entertainment was incredible. The dancers moved about the space and kept the evening interesting--dAnce.Kontemporary was amazing! Bravas was of course delicious as always! It was great to enjoy such a relaxed atmosphere in such a fancy environment! I wonder if the Embassy is trying to break the mold of the black tie stigma of the famous Embassy Theatre. It certainly seems more accessible lately to younger audiences! Definitely will be coming back.
Amazing night! Loved watching the dancers perform on the rooftop!
My husband and I have been to several events such as concerts, wedding receptions, etc. held at different venues in Fort Wayne including the History Center, the Courthouse and the Embassy. All of the venues while beautiful to look at; have incredibly horrible acoustics when it comes to listening to music and/or hearing entertainers speak into a microphone. It is literally impossible to understand what is being said and sung. Thankfully, David Todoron's performance was being pumped up onto the rooftop at the Embassy on Wed. June, 29th. The weather was stunning on the rooftop and we could clearly hear David's wonderful performance. Food was provide by Sol Kitchen and it was yummy and flavorful and so worth the cost. We won't return unless weather permits us to be on the roof and the music again is pumped up to the outside.
