About

Sublime with Rome evolved from a multi-generational passion project honoring one of the most quintessential catalogs of the ’90s to a full-fledged band able to stand on their own. Over 10 years after the death of Sublime frontman Bradley Nowell, the Long Beach, California band’s surviving members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh connected with vocalist and guitarist Rome Ramirez and debuted as Sublime with Rome in 2009. The original trio were an instant marquee touring act, headlining their first tour in 2010 before releasing their debut album Yours Truly (2011), which debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 chart. Gaugh stepped down later that year, but Sublime with Rome has carried on to release two more albums, 2015’s Sirens and 2019’s Blessings, along with co-headlining tours featuring The Offspring and Cypress Hill. They’ve also collaborated with Wiz Khalifa, The Dirty Heads and Slightly Stoopid.

    What a night!

by RW on 9/21/23Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

Being a fan of all music, it was a tough decision…Sublime or Thomas Rhett? I picked Sublime as it was the first time they’ve been to my city in several years. The band/artists/ show did not disappoint. Excellent crowd interaction, great venue, free parking, amazing music, all around great night.

    The band was great

by Captain on 9/13/23Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

Sublime was great. The bass player who subbed in for Eric Wilson did a great job. The problem I had with the show was my Ticketmaster tickets said the show started at 8 pm. We got there a little after 8, expecting to see the opening band. Sublime was already playing and we missed some really good songs. So, lesson learned: double check what Ticketmaster tickets say.

    Awesome show

by Laceylou on 9/13/2312 Tribes Lake Chelan Casino Amphitheater - Manson

I grew up listening to this band and Rome did an excellent job and considering they were missing their main man Eric on the bass due to a shoulder injury-they put on one heck of a show. I sorta expected a little longer of a show but I still loved every minute. Played a lot of the original Sublime favorites and a couple of their newer stuff, But I bet if they had Eric they’d have played more of their new songs and maybe even had a bit of a longer show. I loved the venue as it was outdoor but covered so it was nice and also small enough that every seat was a good one.

We had a great time out at Sublime! Love the oldies but also love the new songs with Rome. Have seen them twice this year.

    Underwhelmed

by TahoeGoodTimes on 9/12/23Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

While there were some good old school Sublime songs, overall the concert did not live up to my expectations. The sound was pretty bad. Rome seemed drunk and out of shape to the point that he couldn’t keep up with the lyrics. At one point he left the stage (bathroom break??) while singing with no explanation. No acknowledgement that original members were missing. Too many Rome songs that I wasn’t really feeling. Next time I’m craving some live Sublime, I’ll go for a straight up cover band.

    Rome performing Sublime

by Callahan on 9/11/23Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

I was disappointed. I knew going in that I was going to be seeing Sublime with Rome, obviously not all the original members would be present. However there were zero original members! I was bummed, I was expecting to see Eric Wilson. I paid a pretty penny to see a cover band.

    A Pleasant Surprise!

    by Pay-n-Pay on 8/26/23

I received the Sublime show tickets as a Birthday gift the day before the show. I am a 61 year old classic rocker and although I knew a couple of Sublime songs, I wasn't expecting much from the performance. Happily, I received Front of Stage tickets for the show, and in my opinion, the Front of Stage tickets at Artpark are the best concert viewing tickets you can buy in WNY. Great Sound, Standing room only, and if you want you can work your way up to the front row to see and feel the bands up close and personal. That being said, the first "pleasant surprise"of the evening was the opening band, Functional Flow. The band was tight and all members were excellent musicians, but I was especially blown away buy the lead guitarist. He was incredible. The second "pleasant surprise"of the evening was Sublime and Rome. The band exploded on stage with energy and intensity. Rome was amazing, performing all their hits and sounding great on vocals, and guitar with "In your Face"stage presence. The songs that I didn't know sounded great, and when they closed the show with "What I got"and "Santeria", they left me wanting more, which is the best way to end a show. A great birthday gift and sincerely, a "Pleasant Surprise"Indeed.

This was my first concert at Artpark and first time seeing Sublime. Was not disappointed with either. Fantastic night!
