Amazing Performance. Sound was great, lighting was awesome. Band was fun to watch and played a good, diverse setlist of solo material and the Foxtrot album. We sat in the balcony, center stage. Seats were comfortable and view was perfect.

Amazing performance, Shadow Of The Hierophant may have been a show stealer for me, absolutely epic love rendition! His bands performance of Genesis material is very faithful to the originals as well Super's Ready is always a highlight of any setlist.

Well, this was a pleasant surprise! I t was so good; I almost went to see him again! I was on vacation, and it would have been too much time going there and back (let alone the concert itself), but I was close to going anyway. So that should tell you a lot! I got to sit up 2nd row from the stage. That was great! But the whole audience were having a great time and the band vibed off it; it was really nice. It had a nice little stage design and great lighting! His band were very talented and seemed to be having a great time. Steve talked to us without being egotistical it was a great balance. He gave a funny anecdote about finally being able to come back to Dallas and told what he meant by at least 2 of his songs and stuff. Great sound too. They set up the concert where the first half was Steve's works. They were very nice! He is a very talented and innovative guitar player; I had no idea. The second part was the entire album FOXTROT. Very well done. I highly recommend this artist. The venue was nice, too. smaller, but felt more personable. And I believe this was at the Majestic, which was an old movie theatre, so it is nice they were able to save it! My car was safe in the open surface lot, not that far a walk to the venue. I was able to find a place for dinner nearby. I felt safe there as well.

Second time getting to experience the absolutely amazing Steve Hackett perform IMHO the best Genesis record of all! Saw the show in Des Moines last November....the only difference being the inclusion of 3 wonderful tunes from the recent Nightwhale release. 'People of the Smoke' was killer! I saw the original lads perform in KC a few times, including the 'Lamb' and 'Trick of the Tale' tours. After Steve rightfully left the music was never as great...but we know that!

This is my third Steve Hackett concert and it was even better than the previous times I've seen him Live. I've been a fan since his days with Genesis, but what made it even more special this time is that my own adult children enjoyed the show just as much as I did! They were literally spellbound at the magnificent spectacle unfolding before us. It was truly a magical evening featuring some of his best songs plus the entire Foxtrot album. The entire band was just spot on, great playing and musicianship by all, I would give more stars if it was possible. Don't miss an opportunity to watch this legendary master musician Live at your earliest opportunity!

This show was a nice surprise. I went hoping to hear Foxtrot and maybe s few other Genesis tunes, and came away with a whole new appreciation of Hackett as a guitarist. After 50+ years of working on his craft, he's now right up there with Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Dweezil Zappa, and precious few others, who have truly mastered this instrument while also writing interesting and complex compositions. His first three tunes were new ones and really showed off his guitar chops. While hearing Foxtrot was a treat, it also showed how formative his guitar skills were when the album was originally written and recorded. I only saw him once before, with Yes' Steve Howe in their short-lived band GTR, where he shared licks with Howe on a lot of new songs - a good show, but limiting for both guitarists. It was this 'Foxtrot at 50' show where I finally got to see Hackett stretch out and really show his skill. I was very impressed and won't hesitate to go see him again the next time he comes to town! Oh, and Steve, it's okay to have gray hair at 70+. The rest of us do.

Briefly, the first set — of Steve Hackett originals — was good, but I liken it to very good opening act. The second set — Genesis’ FOXTROT album — was excellent. And the encore — with FIRTH OF FIFTH, a drum solo, and LOS ENDOS — was the best encore I have ever seen. The musical virtuosity of all the players was outstanding throughout. Certainly, Steve Hackett is one of the best rock guitarists ever. The first hour-long set was technically excellent but didn’t seem to have recognizable (read enjoyable) melodies, or at least I just wasn’t very familiar with those songs. After a 20-minute break, the band returned to celebrate the “50th” anniversary of Genesis’ 1972 prog-rock album, FOXTROT”, in its entirety, including a touch of Peter Gabriel-style theatrics. The sound quality was excellent, making up for the inherent discomfort of the Rialto Theater’s slanted concrete floor and folding-chair seating, and the largely senior-citizen, male audience enjoyed a great show. The encore was especially satisfying, since it started with a great rendition of my all-time favorite song, FIRTH OF FIFTH, from Genesis’ 1973 album, SELLING ENGLAND BY THE POUND. The classical grand piano style keyboard opening and Steve Hackett’s guitar solo were worth the price of admission all by themselves.

What a remarkable show. If you enjoy prog rock, this had it all. Band,sound and lighting all amazing. Expeiencing these classics live as well as the new material reminded me of how important Steve Hackett is to this form. If you get a chance, do.

Band and set list were great. Venue is nice, but pretty warm inside. Balcony bar closed😢

Steve Hackett is one of the best guitar players I have ever seen. Proficient, incredibly competent, fast or slow, and all over the neck. I hope I can play the guitar as good as he does when I am 74. Steve's touring band were all journeymen with a couple of outstanding multi-instrumentalists. They came in well-rehearsed and plenty tight. First, Steve's solo work and new release tracks were superb. Then, it was great to hear Foxtrot and see his guitar parts. The drums had the muscular Phil Collins sound and Nad Sylvan was stellar as Peter Gabriel, although the vocals were a tad muddy and should have been higher in the mix (my only complaint). It was an excellent evening of great music in every way.
