Stephen Petronio Dance Company Tickets

I was excited to introduce my almost 5 year old to a professional dance performance - this particular show had screeching, loud discordant "music" which was disturbing to her. The dancers were talented but even I started watching the clock 20 minutes into it. If you like modern dance it is a fine show but most of the children in the audience (at this children's matinee) were fidgeting if not outright leaving in the middle

Not enough to command serious attention. Endless mistakes during the performance. It felt more like an early rehearsal than a Performace worth attending. I hope this company spends more focus time on performance and less on the hype. The Adam Kimell outfits definitely did not help the overall presentation. Music was perhaps the best part of the evening. also the poster is definetly overpromising. We get image and concept but the show had nothing to do with the image that's selling it's promise.
