About

Stephen "Ragga" Marley is a world-renowned singer, songwriter, and producer whose work has earned no fewer than eight Grammy Awards. Born into a musical family, Stephen is the child of reggae legends Bob Marley and Rita Marley. He began singing professionally at 6, touring the world with his elder siblings Ziggy, Sharon, and Cedella in The Melody Makers. In 2008, he released his first solo album, Mind Control, which won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album. His subsequent solo albums include Mind Control Acoustic, Revelation Part I: The Root of Life, and Revelation Part II: The Fruit of Life. Stephen's first new full-length album in more than seven years, Old Soul, was released on September 15 via Tuff Gong Collective/UMe/Ghetto Youths International. The new album is a departure from his previous Reggae repertoire, showcasing more of his bluesy, acoustic soul side, as evidenced by the first single, "Old Soul." Stephen is also an acclaimed producer, working closely with his brother Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley on the massive crossover hit Welcome To Jamrock. In addition, Stephen continues to champion charitable endeavors centered in Jamaica as a co-founder of the Ghetto Youths Foundation, along with his brothers Damian and Julian Marley.  In 2017, Stephen established Kaya Fest, the annual music festival, which features special guests and rare family performances, all with the larger purpose of raising awareness around the benefits of cannabis, guided by the mantra "Education Before Recreation.

Is this a Lauryn Hill repeat

    by DonnaP on 2/25/24

The DJ is playing a loop recording and totally not amping anyone! The show has is 53 minutes late and counting! Just plain disrespectful! I try to support my people and get the sane unprofessional behavior! I will never support this family again! You forgot you have a show tonight?

    ONE OF THE BEST...

    by Dmelody75 on 11/10/23

I was at Mr. Stephen Marley’s show in Atlanta on Oct. 22, 2023 @Center Stage (excellent venue) and it was amazing. Everyone on stage performed fabulously! The opening musician, Mike Love, was impressive. For starters, it’s not easy being a one-man band, but to do it right, like he did, that’s talent. He set such a good vibe for what was to come… Your show was both emotionally and physically moving. Your brilliant stage presence along with your highly skilled band was nothing less than perfect, in my opinion. Even my fiancé, who is not as well versed with reggae music, walked out of that concert with so much enthusiasm and a renowned appreciation for reggae music. His reaction was almost childlike when he looked at me and said, “when can we go again?” I also wanted to comment on the unexpected yet extremely gifted flute player, she definitely complimented your performance. Thank you and everyone at that show for a stellar experience!!

    Amazing night

by Zoe on 10/28/23Center Stage Theater - Atlanta

I'm new to Georgia and have enjoyed exploring the state. Stephen Marley's concert was one of the best shows I've attended. His music is powerful! The space felt large but also intimate which allowed for a personal environment. The crowd was full of love for Marley and each other. We had an amazing night.

    Stephen Marley

by Green Wizard on 10/27/23The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver Spring

I’ve seen Stephen several times and he never disappoints. The show was incredible. Silver Springs is a awesome place to see a show. However the beer prices are getting ridiculous. 2 beers with tip 40$! I don’t even pay that for a case of decent beer. I had tickets to originally see him in the spring when the show was rescheduled. I was never contacted to let me know of rescheduling which meant I drove 3 hours and wasted money on a hotel room.

    Stephen Marley concert was Irie!

by Mystere2 on 10/25/23Center Stage Theater - Atlanta

Mike Love was a one-man roots band. Really set the vibe for Stephen Marley who performed his songs then legacy songs of his father. Hand drums, amplified acoustics and a great flautists, Kateri, who enhanced the melody in all the songs. Good audience, friendly venue. Parking is the only problem.

    Irie! What a great show!

by Vicki on 10/25/23Center Stage Theater - Atlanta

Everything about our experience with Stephen Marley at Center Stage was outstanding. The opener really got the crowd geared up for some proper Reggae and Stephen brought down the house. The floor was packed and rocking! And wow, the flautist playing with Stephen was just amazing and really brought a different Reggae experience. Every band should have at least one horn on stage!
