    Star Wars expo was Outstanding

by Spudster48 on 1/3/11Lafayette Science Museum - Lafayette

enjoyed every minute we spent there. The Lafayette Science Museum put on a good show. I and My 3 sons are huge Star Wars Fans and there were some actual movie props on display there. Had fun in the Millenium Falcon Experience too. Several Light Speed jumps were cool. Overall I had lots of fun and it was a nice way to spend half a day with the family doing something we really enjoy.

    Star Wars To The Max

by Meand2Grands on 12/30/10Star Wars Exhibit - Lafayette

This event is the greatest. When I first read about the display going on tour about 2 yrs. ago, I told my grandson this was a must see event. Well today we added one to the bucket list. It was awesome. Even the 4 yr. old that doesn't know very much about Star Wars was impressed. The extra $2.00 paid for the ride on the Mill. Falcon was totally cool. Several times the 4 yr. old held on to my arm tighter because he thought we were actually in space. I had the company of a 10 yr. old and 4 yrs. old and I'm 56 and we all thought it was awesome. Do not miss this event that is available for viewing.

We were surprised that the collection was so good given the small, out of the way venue. We were pleased and would recommend it to others!

    Star Wars Exibit was great!

by LJFett on 11/15/10Lafayette Science Museum - Lafayette

For anyone that loves Star Wars this is a must see exibit. There are actual costumes worn by actors for the movies along with droids and ships (life size and smaller ones for certain scenes. My husband and son couldn't stop talking about it. It was a smaller exibit than I expected but for an eight year old it was the perfect size. It took us about 1 1/2 hours to do everything,: Millennium Falcon Experience, 1st floor exhibit, the free show, and all 2nd floor activities (drove vehicle, made hovercraft with magnets, used commands to direct robot through obsticle course and two others). For the price it was a perfect family outing. My son has been begging to go back, so we may be heading back to Lafayette.

Star Wars Exhibit - Very Good

by leasimon69 on 11/15/10Lafayette Science Museum - Lafayette

We enjoyed the Star Wars Exhibit at the Lafayette Museum of Science. It kept two 7 year old boys and one 39 year old boy entertained for several hours. Please note your ticket does not cover the virtual ride, that is an additional purchase at the museum.

    Star Wars - A Blast!

by OldBeFanOBee on 11/9/10Lafayette Science Museum - Lafayette

A "Must See" for any Star Wars Fan! The exhibit consists of the costumes of many of the characters of the various Star Wars movies, along with many of the Droids and the actual models of many of the space ships used in filming. There is also Luke's Speeder and some of the battle walkers. An optional ($2.00) Millennium Falcon Experience where you sit in the cabin and experience the jump to light speed and a mini planetarium show thru the windshield. Upstairs in the museum is a section with hands-on displays and activities and a Legos Star Wars models display. The museum staff is friendly and informative about the exhibit.
