STAIND IN CONCERT:
With three consecutive No. 1 albums of anthemic nu metal in the '00s, Staind became one of the most successful alt-rock groups of the decade. Blending muscular guitar shredding and singer Aaron Lewis's emotional, melodic lyrics, the band's impressive live shows span their entire discography, treating fans to studio-perfect renditions of their biggest hits alongside alternative, countrified versions of songs like "Mudshovel."
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Formed in Massachusetts in 1994, Staind started out playing hard rock covers in local clubs before self-releasing their 1996 debut Tormented. While they only pressed four thousand copies, the album garnered enough attention to land them a deal with Flip Records and the production assistance of Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst for their 1999 follow-up Dysfunction. The album received favorable reviews and drew comparisons to nu metal legends like Korn, but its reception paled in comparison to 2001's Break the Cycle, an international No. 1 and multi-platinum smash. The band's next four albums would all land in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200, establishing an impressive catalog of hits and building anticipation for the band's rumored return to the studio in 2014.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"Staind was unbelievable. The band sounded amazing. Aaron's voice gives you chills live. They played everything...They even played quite a few new songs which they totally killed on."
"Staind dug deeply into their classics to get the crowd going. Aaron Lewis was great and seemed to be having fun during an audience participation sequence. Staind played every song I wanted to hear plus more so I left very satisfied."
"I expected a top flight show from Staind and got it...they exceeded my expectations. They had a great mix of hard and soft music; all Staind."
Great songs and performance! I enjoyed the memories and hogs voice
Really good show! Nothing short of amazing live. We had a really good time.
Everybody that listens to alternative music knows Staind and their songs. They sounded great but the energy was dead. Would have liked some crowd interaction
Staind was phenomenal! They just keep getting better and better!
Staind has not disappointed since first show back at Louder Than Life. Great band to hear live!
Staind still got it going on!! Rock out guys Fantastic job.
Staind put on a great show, I have wanted to see them for awhile. The venue is the best in every aspect, drinks are kinda pricey but oh well! Saw Kid rock there before and that show was great too! Definitely will be back.
I have wanted to see Staind for a very long time. I have loved Aaron Lewis since I heard there 1st album many years ago. I was lucky to get great seats and the concert was everything I dreamed it would be!! Thanks for the new memories guy's!! You guys are still my favorite group all these year's later!!
The St. Augustine is a nice venue fairly intimate at 4500 people. Aaron Lewis and Staind put on one hell of a show! Loudest concert I've been to in a while. Light show and video screens were impressive. Sound mix was on point. Really enjoyed it.....
Staind was amazing in concert and the St. Augustine venue was great too...the follow of people coming in and leaving was way better than anywhere else i've been. Will see them again and go back to the venue again too.
