    Funny, sexy and perfect

by blackopstoysgirl on 3/11/16Rose Quarter - Benton Lot - Portland

My husband and I thought this was going to a burlesque circus show. It was that, and so much more! The main couple (I really do hope they are married in real life) were hilarious. Each act in the show had it's own unique style. The music was beautiful. The woman who sang during the show was so good. I laughed so hard that my stomach ached. The setting is intimate, every seat is a good one and these performers know how to draw a crowd in. I LOVED it and we will go back again and again.

A unique and very entertaining show! The wooden tent that was made for the show was charming and cozy. Very talented and athletic performers.

EMPIRE was like nothing I've seen before

by DavePortland on 1/27/16Rose Quarter - Benton Lot - Portland

I wish I had gotten an opportunity to see EMPIRE earlier in their engagement in Portland. I got a chance to see them at their last performance. Very impressive crew, and clearly passionate about what they do. I hope they come back to the Pacific Northwest. I'd drive from Portland to Seattle to see them!!

    EMPIRE was spectacular

by pdx98 on 1/27/16Rose Quarter - Benton Lot - Portland

The energy the performers put out was amazing. If you like being included in events I would suggest getting seats in the first couple of rows. The performers brought up a few guests and got them involved in the event. There is a little nudity so prudes stay home.

EMPIRE brings a building packed with talent!

by 80sFANclub on 1/26/16Rose Quarter - Benton Lot - Portland

FUN VARIETY SHOW! I still can't get over the building that they travel with...It's so much more than a tent! Just amazing! The intimate setting "in the round" makes for pretty good viewing from any seat. But don't enter late because you may not get the seats you paid for. DO NOT SIT UP FRONT unless you love attention... We were waylaid by the Blazer fan swarms...I didn't realize I bought tickets on a game night and it's pretty crazy having to pay $40 for parking and then getting blocked in and having to wait until the Blazer game lets out to even leave the parking lot (not Rose Quarter parking lot...those were all full way earlier even!)

    Impressive

by JessKMOD on 1/26/16Rose Quarter - Benton Lot - Portland

I know it's unfair and perhaps even cliche to compare this show to Cirque, but here goes.... Cirque is grander and more impressive. Cirque is also more expensive and has a budget to allow for more. In and of itself, this show held it's own. The "husband/wife" comedy due were hilarious. I was laughing so hard, tears were streaming down my face. The "feather" performer was amazing, as were the two men who performed together, one tossing the other around on his feet. The setting was intimate. I understand that they design and travel with their own set and it was impressive. Had somewhat of an old west feel. Very cool. There is also a bar on site, albeit with limited cocktail options, but better than nothing. All in all, the show was great. The performers were clearly talented and passionate. There was not the ariel aspect that Cirque has, but it was still very very good. If they were in Portland again, I would not hesitate to see them again and recommend them to all of my friends.
