    Spiedie fest has its days.

    by Just me on 8/22/23

The spiedie fest itself is a good outing for the family.. a little pricey but it's a pleasure. Lots of vendors and lots to see.. Parking tends to be a bit messy..too many cars for so much little space.. no real directional help and no select parking for the ones with on-site parking tickets.. Concerts are a joy..well worth the money..but the "no seating"situation tends to make for a messy experience.. way too many people in a small space all cramped together and alot of pushing and shoving to get to where your going..not really a fan of the alcoholic beverages allowed to be carried all over the concert premises especially with so many kids present at the concerts. I think a designated alcohol tent should have been set up for those who wanted to enjoy a drink and the concert. But still away from all the children. Overall experience of the spiedie fest was great..Def something I would go to again..

    Great time at Spiediefest

    by Moe Music on 8/10/23

Great music, food, hot air balloons, parking and all-around good time. The organizers did a terrific job reorganizing the Friday music due to rain. Had a nice alternate venue (the Vision Arena) lined up already, got the word out early and the show went on as planned. A very well-behaved audience for the music and other events. Congratulations to the organizers - obviously not their first event.

    Good but lack of information

by Michelle on 8/8/22Otsiningo Park - Binghamton

When I ordered the tickets through Ticketmaster, it did not state that there were opening acts starting prior to the showtime. I would have liked to of known that. Also, the package I purchased said it came with parking. I thought it meant on-site parking. I was wrong. The parking you get with the package is for offsite parking where you get shuttled in. I was disappointed with that lack of information/communication. The shows overall, however, were good.

    Kansas at Spiedie Fest 2019

    by D. R. on 8/7/19Otsiningo Park - Binghamton

Crowds were small, venue, security, and vibe were very good. The House PA system sounded crystal clear and Kansas, once again did not disappoint. Always enjoy seeing them. Great experience!

    first time

by am on 8/6/19Otsiningo Park - Binghamton

It was okay but several of the balloon launches were delayed or canceled also Kansas was over an hour late starting. The petting Zoo had three animals not what the brochure said and they were in separate area so you could only touch them if they came over. The kids rides were very expensive and in a separate area. The car show was over by 2 everyone was leaving. The transportation was good but the parking people were terrible making people walk extremely far when there were many open spaces up closer. Plus $5 each time not one price for the 3 days.

    Awesome event!

    by C. G. on 8/6/19Otsiningo Park - Binghamton

This was my first time attending the fest. I came primarily to see the concerts, which did not disappoint. The whole atmosphere was welcoming and positive. I tried my first spiedie which I enjoyed. The K-9 dog show and balloons were a bonus. I’ll be back next year! Thanks to all those who organized and all the volunteers that worked this event.

    Good Times

by Trudy on 8/5/19Otsiningo Park - Binghamton

This was the first year that I went to the Spiedie Fest. It was very enjoyable. The vendors were nicely set up and not to close to each other. The only thing that bothered me was in the concert area, I thought there might have been some seating so I did not bring a chair. I feel should at least put benches there so that there is seating available to those who do not bring chairs.

    Spiedie Fest 2019

by Mark on 8/5/19Otsiningo Park - Binghamton

I wasn't sure about the concert lineup for this year, but the event is so much fun, and the price is super reasonable we had to go. Turned out Starship was really great live, and played to an appreciative audience. The second night featured Hunter Hayes and an opening act named King Calaway. Then opening act was quite talented and pleasant to listen to in the vein of Rascal Flatts. I'll watch for more of them. Hunter Hayes was good, not my kind of music, but the teenage girls adored him. We left early on this night, probably half way through his set because it wasn't interesting to either my wife or I. The third day was Kansas with opening act with a name I can't remember. The opening act was very good too. Sort of a jam band with a charismatic lead singer. I hope to find out their name and see them again. Kansas was fantastic. Featuring only two original members at this point did not detour the crowd or myself from enjoying them. Playing essentially a "hits" setlist with a few deep cuts pleased everyone. The sound was good and the band was tight. As for the rest of Spiedie Fest, it was a good time. Lots of vendors, food a midway, and those fabulous balloons. I heard rumblings that this might be the last Spiedie Fest. I hope not as I am already looking forward to next year.

    Few Spiedies at Spiediefest

    by stevee7 on 8/21/18Otsiningo Park - Binghamton

I traveled from out of town to attend to enjoy a wide selection of spidies. Sadly there were only 3 (maybe 3 and a half if you count loosely) Spiedie vendors and the event didn't really seem to be themed in any way. Other fests (like Perogi-fest) have TONS of the food they are celebrating and themed events/costumes around it. Had I not had the expectation of getting spiedies at spiediefest it probably would have been a thoroughly average festival with the usual food vendors and booths from local businesses along with a smattering of shows (cars, dogs, whatever). The balloons were the real highlight of this event. If your local, worth buying a day pass. If your coming from any distance, I'd give it a pass unless the bands appeal to you.
