    Sonic boom 2015

by Sonicboyryan on 9/9/15Borden Park - Edmonton

Overall the festival was good cost $40 dollars for parking!! But the concert and vip area was nice. Thought the vip would include it's own meet and greet section. And not have 10 dollar donair and take my chair away I pay 350 bucks to have my chair taken away but the concert it's self was good all the band play performed and I would go again the good does out weight the bad.

I have gone to this festival for a couple years now and I have a great time every time. The fans are all very friendly and the music is awesome. I will be going again next year!

    Fun time, poor layout.

I enjoyed myself, though there were only three bands I was interested in seeing (July Talk, Cage the Elephant, Jack White). The majority of the music was not my style, so I can't comment on that. The bands I wanted to see were excellent though. The free autographs from July Talk was very nice. I was thankful they took the time to talk with people in line briefly instead of just pumping everyone through. The only downfall to this was the autograph tent was very far from the merch tent, and both had extremely long lines. I left to the merch tent direct from the July Talk set and then straight to the autograph tent to get my new July Talk record signed. Due to time restraints, I wasn't even close to where the line was cut off when it was. to get my record signed, I had to quickly sneak up into the line and got very lucky. Others had bought merch to get signed and were unable to get it signed. Meanwhile, many people were getting things signed unrelated to the bands signing autographs. This is fine and dandy, but my complaint is there should have been 3 lines. One for VIPs, one for people who bought merch to get signed, and then one line for people who didn't buy merch and watched an autograph/picture with the band. I think people would be much happier this way (also assuming the merch tent was closer to the autograph tent). The washrooms were plentiful and well maintained. I didn't know where the wrestling was. But heard it was poorly set up for the wrestlers entering/leaving the ring. I wish there was a locker I could pay for to put my record in so I could enjoy cage the elephant to my fullest instead if holding it the entire day.

Very crowded and people were getting hurt crowd surfing. If you don't like big crowd then I wouldn't recommend. I didn't get VIP because it was very expensive but we didn't need it. The food trucks were a plus for sure! Also great merch

    Blink 182 was amazing

by Fittergirl on 9/4/13Edmonton Northlands Grounds - Edmonton

The bands were all amazing .. But the set up was terrible! Beer gardens sucked ! Over priced ! No seating had to stand all day or sit on the dirty ground ! And ended way to early ! Don't think ill go to sonic boom again ! Atleast the music made up for it !
