A major punk band for over two decades, Social Distortion came out of Los Angeles's active hardcore scene of the late '70s and early '80s. Their first album, Mommy's Little Monster, appeared in 1983 and featured the song "Another State of Mind," which aired as one of a few punk videos on mid-'80s MTV. Since then, Social Distortion have further developed their mix of punk and rockabilly with such songs as "Ball and Chain," "Bad Luck" and "Reach for the Sky." To this day, Social Distortion remain one of punk's most exciting and vital bands. Over the course of their career, Social Distortion have brought many venues to capacity, like Observatory North Park and the Mission Ballroom.

What a tour. This show was a postponed date from November ‘22. They added many shows in SD. They are beloved here as true punk/So Cal legends. Sounding better than ever and the Observatory is a great venue to vibe out with likeminded fans. Skelly!
My sixth time seeing Social Distortion on this tour and it seems like I can get enough of this guys,so happy.
Huge Social D fan, I think I’ve seen them perform over 30 times in the last 30 years and I gotta say, they still kick ass! Still my favorite band to see live, I make it a point to see them play at least once every tour. Can’t wait to hear the new album they’re working on.

Awesome performance. Social Distortion is a solid rock band and they performed great! HOB Anaheim is a great venue. Very convenient location and parking.

I saw them on 12/17 in Vegas and 1/7 in San Diego. 17-18 songs is not long enough. The didn’t play don’t drag me down or story of my life at the shows I went to. Luck of the draw I guess? Been waiting 12 years for new album! My wifes first time in a mosh pit area! Too bad it wasn’t 1990, would have been crazy mosh pit! Some singers/bands play for 2 1/2-3 hours, wish Social D was one of them. Good thing for YouTube and setlist.fm
So this was my first show at the observatory and my first time seeing Social Distortion and man was it amazing. The venue had an awesome vibe and great sound. The crowd was good energy and let’s not forget the amazing songs and just legendary talent and charisma of Mike Ness. He truly is a class act. They played all the classics and even some great new songs with that unrelenting Social D sound. 10/10 for me and I’ll likely go and see them again if they come back to The Observatory in the future.
