Snowball had a lot to make up for this year, and they just made things worse. First, they moved the show to Denver. Not a big deal to me as I thought the Bronco's stadium would give it a mini EDC feel. Then I showed up to see that the show was not even inside the stadium. It was in the parking lot, looking like a carnival flea market. Second, the lineup was a joke. Pretty Lights was here twice in the past year, and they pick him as the headliner still. Instead of making up for the location change with an awesome lineup, they decide to go cheap by booking local favorites who are overexposed in the area. Griz? Headliner? Really? PL, then a PL Party the next day? Third, the production was tiny. Stages were all reused from the small mountain setting, but left much to be desired in Denver. The main stage should be ashamed to call itself "main" stage. Snowball had to scramble days before the show to sell tickets, offering them for cheaper than the lowest price level offered in the beginning before the lineup was announced. Their website had an article trying to convince people this year would be better. By them highlighting the issue just shows they acknowledge that it is an issue. Snowball really screwed up this year, and I hope they go out of business as a wake up call.
