    Clipse killed it

by Tack on 7/29/09House of Blues Boston - Boston

I was disappointed to find out that the actual band sneaker pimps wasnt playing but rather it was a sneaker oriented show. that being said i still wanted to see clipse because they are probably the only rap group thats come out in the past 8 years that is relevant to music. when i arrived there was a dj spinning some music and 2 guys running around on stage out of breath shouting nonsense into the mic about who had on the "flyest" sneakers and giving away shirts and stuff. after this some guy named J-Cove(i think that was his name, thats what i heard anyways) came out and did a couple songs.....he wasnt terrible, but you could tell he was kind of nervous and new to performing. after he finished and another 45 min wait with the guys running around yelling slang words and reminding us clipse would be on soon, they finally hit the stage and murdered it. they played about 12 songs in total and all of them were amazing. since the first time i saw clipse i made a point to always go see them when they come to town, and now i anxiously await their return.

    Sneaker Pimps

by Schoolyardfiend on 7/26/09House of Blues Boston - Boston

There was no energy in the crowd. The venue seemed too large for the show. The event ran too long for the event to gain and maintain energy.
