    Great show!

by Lynn on 4/6/23Historic Sanctuary of Franklin First United Methodist Church - Franklin

Wonderful experience. I loved having the play set in the historic Methodist church. It lent so much authenticity, as well as the costumes and gospel music of the era. Beautiful voices, good use of humor.

    Talented performers but sophomoric story

by Rusty on 4/5/23Historic Sanctuary of Franklin First United Methodist Church - Franklin

Great idea for a play/musical, but story is silly, unfunny and not inspiring. Cast was talented -- strong singers and musicians -- just give them something better to perform in.

    Totally engaging!

by GrandRabbit on 3/29/23Historic Sanctuary of Franklin First United Methodist Church - Franklin

I had seen this play years ago, but while the characters were familiar, there were some things this cast had tweaked to make the parts their own. The comedic lines were fun, but a couple of scenes were quite poignant and felt quite reflective of true personal experience. The ability to stage this in an actual sanctuary was just perfect! While the play doesn’t depend on the physical setting that much, having it in a church made the play that much more engaging. Thank you, Studio Tenn!

    Easy to Remember

by Kicklighter on 9/21/09Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - Mableton

Thought everything about the show was good, and the venue was very nice. My wife and I had center seats down close and made it even more enjoyable. The music was better than I expected and compared to the previous shows that I had seen, this was probably the best. Look forward to seeing the next show in the future.

Smoke on the Mountain is smoking

by BigDaddyx6 on 9/20/09Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - Mableton

I have seen this play by others and this group is far superior with fantastic musical performances. The sound system at this venue further enhances the quality of the production. There was not a sound in the entire theatre as Stanley gave his testimony. Have them back - the word will get out!

    SMOKE was hilarious and wonderful!

by antiquemawmaw on 9/19/09Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - Mableton

Having seen the presentation at Theater In The Square several times, I didn't expect to be as pleased, but was this was an excellent presentation. Actors had wonderful voices and portrayed their characters with such a natural representation. I hope to see these actors in the other plays at Mable House.
