The right amount of scare

We're sorry, but we couldn’t find any events. Try updating your location and date range, or use more general keywords.

The kids had a totally awesome time they were just so stoked scared the tar out of them
it was not as good as it has been waste of money ...
Bought general admission tickets and had to wait 4 HOURS to get in. Rediculous. Poorly run attraction.
Not a very well organized event. Information on the website regarding parking was buried in the FAQs so many were surprised about the $5 cash-only parking fee. And the website did NOT mention anywhere that the parking fee was cash only. Needless to say, this contributed significantly to long lines just to enter the parking area. Overall the crowds on weekends are very large--not surprising, but you should anticipate waiting over an hour in line for each event...and that's with a VIP ticket. Without, you'll be waiting even longer. And while you're waiting in line, you'll be surrounded by people smoking and vaping. Not great if you are sensitive or have children with you. All that being said, the actual Fright Furnace was quite fun. The giant slide in the Woods Trail was also quite fun, though the rest of the trail was somewhat anticlimactic (and culturally insensitive). If you've never been, you should--it's an incredibly unique (and naturally spooky) venue. But I'd recommend going on a weeknight and going early. This was not my first trip to Sloss Fright Furnace, but it will be my last. For me, it's no longer worth the wait.
I went here a few years ago & it was the scariest haunted house I have ever been to so I decided to go for my birthday with my friends... bad idea. Worst haunted house ever it was a waste of money I drove 4 hours for nothing. It wasn’t scary at all they barely had any workers we were just walking through the trail and not being scared. The costumes were poorly made not scary at all they make way too much money for them to not be scary. Will never go again. If you’re thinking about going don’t even waste your time.
I have not been to Sloss in awhile. Wasn’t great the last time thought I’d give it another try. I was super disappointed in the the quality of both haunts they offer. Both had so many missed opportunities to offer scares. It was as if they were severely understaffed and the staff wasn’t sure how to scare people. We paid for the full experience. They were allowed to touch us and even pull us into secret passages. We had a group of 7 only one was ever led to a secret passage. That part was interesting but a real let down for the other 6 in the group. As a person that loves haunted houses and has been to many as well as worked in them I was really disappointed. Even the younger people in our group laughed and giggled at the entire experience. The woods were so poorly done most of the trail although decorated well had no monsters or scares. It was not worth the money spent and will probably be the last visit by our group. The Philly’s sold in the cafe were by far the best part of our experience. There are 2 other haunts close by and I will chose to visit those rather than return to Sloss. The history and the setting have so much to offer they just are not used properly. If you want to take people that have never been to a hunted house or have low expectations then this is where you should go. I really hope they make some improvements in the future. Just seems like a waste.
Last year was the first time that my wife and I went and it rocked. This year we left disappointed.
The furnace was pretty cool. Not scary at all but the building itself is amazing and they did an awesome job decorating. The breakout was absolutely awful. The actors were awful compared to last year. It was nothing but a maze and a loud man playing guitar above you. Really glad we did the pay one and get one admittance for free. Had I paid full price I would’ve been pretty upset. Drove a total of three hours to come to this attraction and will never come back again.
I feel that expectations were not met, they over-exaggerated how fun and scary it would be.
