There are those groups that you see play live and then are so disappointed in the performance you don't even enjoy their songs on the radio anymore. This is NOT one of those bands. I loved watching this band and WAVES is so much better to listen to now that I know how naturally talented and down to earth they are.
The first act was okay, especially considering they were the first of threee acts. Holy Child, the 2nd opening act was pretty good. They had a unique delivery, somethign along the lines of Matt and Kim, and they seemed like a great group of people when I talked to them after the show. Sleeper Agent was fantastic just as I expected they would be. The smallness of the crowd meant made it easy to be right up on the stage the entire night.
I saw them open up for Cage the Elephant in Knoxville on April 5th, 2011. While Cage the Elephant is amazing, it's fair to say SleeperAgent gave them a good run at stealing the show. They were the first of 3 bands, the 2nd being Biffy Clyro, of which SA made almost forgettable. The feel good melodies and great vocal mixes of Alex and Tony make them a definite "MUST SEE."
