Great girls day out! Can't wait till next year!

    by Danni3 on 10/25/10Covelli Centre - Youngstown

We couldn't wait to see David & Ruben because we are BIG Idol fans. But Straight No Chaser was Fab! Just wish David & Ruben sang more! Two songs apiece was not enough. Too many pre recorded songs. Watching the skaters that we watch on TV was amazing.

A great evening at Skate for the Heart

by LisaAJ on 10/17/10Covelli Centre - Youngstown

When I purchased the tickets for Skate for the Heart, I was really purchasing them to see Straight No Chaser. Their other performances in Pittsburgh were sold out and they were appearing at this event in Youngstown. When my friend and I went to the show, we didn't really know what to expect. We were absolutely delighted with the lovely performances of the skaters (some were Olympic metal winners as well as hopefuls) on the ice AND the beautiful voices of Straight No Chaser as well as David Archuleta and Ruben Studdard from American Idol on stage. There were times we didn't know what to watch...the skaters or the singers! A fun problem to have!!!! It was a wonderful evening!

    Skating to grab the heart

    by Lilypad13 on 10/14/10Covelli Centre - Youngstown

Music enhanced skating by the stars that we have seen compete at varying levels. The skaters showed versatility that they can not show in competition. There was a nice blend of light and serious numbers. And who would not love seeing three top musical performers work together with the skakers!

Skate for the Heart was Fantastic

by swaj on 10/13/10Covelli Centre - Youngstown

Skate For the Heart was another Fantastic Ice show at the Covelli Center. It was great to see another Professional Ice Show here in Youngstown. The Show was very well Organized and the Live singers were top rate. Johhny Weir brought down the house w/ his performance to Lady Gaga.. Great show for all ages, Everyone seemed to really enjoy the show that will be televized Jan 16th 2011. Highlight for myself was meeting Michelle Kwan & Peggy Femming, They are so sweet & even more beuatiful in person. Way to go Youngstown, hope to see a lot more Proffessional Ice Shows here in Youngstown. Two Thumbs Up...

Music was as outstanding as the skaters

by macminster on 10/12/10Covelli Centre - Youngstown

Can American Idol contestants sing????? YES Straight, No Chaser has an incredible version of "Billy Jean" by Michael Jackson and they have the personality to go along with thier talent. All of the skaters were memorable but the class of the act in my opinion was the skater from Canada (sorry, I can't remember her name).

    amazing skaters!

by JohnnysKitten on 10/12/10Covelli Centre - Youngstown

The show was absolutely amazing, but lacked any publicity. I live about 150 miles (about 3 hours driving) from where the show took place and though my three absolute favorite skaters (Johnny Weir, Jeremy Abbott, and Ryan Bradley) were there I heard nothing of the show until two days before when Weir, Abbott, and Bradley started to 'tweet' about being in Ohio for a show. That said, I'm glad I caught the tweets because the 3 hour drive was well worth it! Johnny Weir did Lady GaGa's 'Bad Romance' and his original 'Heart Broken' two programs that balance each other so well (Bad Romance is dirty sexy fun and HeartBroken is soft and pretty). Ryan Bradley did a Willy Wonka routine and preformed with Straight No Chaser (Michael Jackson medley) His back flips and easy charm make him an instant crowd pleaser. Jeremy Abbott skated to SNC as well and then did his new competitive program. His new competitive stole the show - it was amazing, its going to be a monster this season. Caydee Denney & Jeremy Barrett had lovely programs as did Joannie Rochette and Rachael Flatt (who showed her playful side in a new program). Sasha Cohen (who can come across icy in competition) had playful, fun programs. Tanith Belbin & Ben Agosto skates told stories and were very lovely - you defiantly can't tell that they learned these 2000 miles apart. If this is in the same area next year, I'll be back!

    Fantastic!

by KerriMH on 10/12/10Covelli Centre - Youngstown

The venue was good size, but not too big in that you got lost...the parking was incredibly easy. The singers and skaters were fantastic. Not only was this event a great time, but it was for a good cause, too! We traveled 7 1/2 hours (give or take) to attend this event and would do so again.

Skate for the Heart was awsome!

by rassss on 10/12/10Covelli Centre - Youngstown

Great show. Seats were good. Plan to watch for it on TV. I've been a fan of SNC since I saw them on PBS. My friend is a fan of any ice skating show. So this was a good selection for both of us. Were surprised to have the other singers there. I guess I thought it would be mostly SNC.
