Funny, but not what I expected. The advertising made me think the sister was going on a quest for the Magi's gold. Actually only a small part had anything to do with the gold. Great audience participation and impromptu.

    Memories Abound

by Blessingyou on 12/24/17Abdo New River Room at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

If you are Catholic, or if you have ever received Sunday School instruction at any religious denomination...you can relate to this audience participation show. Sister Christmas was very believable and authentic, funny and clever in her portrayal. Well worth the enjoyable time spent.

    2nd half boring

1st half pretty funny but the 2nd half was very boring. Not worth the price.

    Sisters Christmas was very amusing

by JimSnips on 12/23/17Pensacola Saenger Theatre - Pensacola

We enjoyed the Sisters Christmas Catechism very much. It started off a little slow with a choir singing Christmas carols, then going off on a tangent as they sang. The second act was very funny with the audience being tapped for "talent" to perform the story. The costuming of the volunteers was humorous and all were having a good time.

    Sisters Christmas Catechism

by Naenae69 on 12/23/17Pensacola Saenger Theatre - Pensacola

This play was so awful. I hate that we paid Saenger prices, which are not cheap, to say the least. I was so embarrassed that we had ask friends to go with us. It was like a bad school Christmas play.

    Very good

Not quite as funny as the original Late Night Catechism, but still a very enjoyable evening.

Laughter is the best holiday gift!

by geniusoftheworld on 12/27/14City Theatre - Detroit

What a wonderful show from beginning to end! Sister Nonie Newton Riley makes the audience the star. When she brought audience members on stage to play the characters in the pageant of the First Nativity, the whole hall went up for grabs. Haven't laughed so hard in years. Makes no difference if you went to Catholic school and had nuns for teachers, or not-- you'll love this nun. Yes, she picks on audience members, and plays the role of the strict Sister/teacher- but does it with such a warm heart and good humor, everybody walks out at the end with a big smile. The perfect way to get in the mood for the holiday! And you may learn something, too!

    Sister's Christmas Catechism

by guiconlog on 12/19/14City Theatre - Detroit

This show was great. I have seen this before and several other of the Sister play's and they are always great. The actress who played the nun is my favorite. I took my brother and sister in law to the play and they really enjoyed it. Anyone who went to catholic school should see these plays. You are right back in the classroom.

    Sister's Christmas Catechism

by Ziembagirl on 12/17/14City Theatre - Detroit

Absolutely great!!! This is the second one I've seen and both have been fabulous. I sent my 3 children and their spouses to the first one -- Sister's Late Nite Catechism back a few years ago as they went to 12 years of Catholic School. They loved it. This Sister was amazing. She never faltered or seemed to be at a loss for words (that's an understatement). So funny, especially being Catholic the things said and done were so very realistic. Especially, about the gum chewing. My husband was chewing gum in school and the nun put it in his hair!!! Sister really knew how to interact with the audience. Loved, loved, loved it!!
