    Great but?

    by Stuanne on 8/16/23

Let me start by saying the band was excellent and sister’s voice was outstanding. The sound system seem to be off and there was very few people in the crowd. We were making our annual trip to bar harbor and was extremely excited to hear the band. The disappointment seemed to go both ways as the band seemed angry because of the crowd size and a loud mouth in the seats. They ended the show in less than an hour. Why? No explanations. Left the appreciative audience in their chairs watching the band taking down equipment. We wish they had ignored the small crowd and played to those who came to hear them. Thank you

    What a Show!

    by DKJ on 8/16/23

What a phenomenal show! Sister Sparrow has some pipes and covers everything from Louisiana Soul to Pop and has the voice to carry everything in between. Incredibly entertaining and I do not think a single person was seated at for long feeling the need to dance along to the music. It was like going to a Speakeasy or Lounge from decades ago; tremendously enjoyable and simply made the heart and soul happy. She's an absolute doll and her personality shines through, making each person feel seen even in a concert setting. The energy is contagious! The Band - WOW. This is show a concert should be done. They compliment one another incredibly well and know just when each instrument should be added and each gets a moment to shine - adding to the enjoyment of the concert. I cannot sing enough praises about them and would absolutely see them again and will drive or fly again (as we made the trip to ME from NC just for them). Highly recommend if you are looking to see true raw talent, a great performance and be entertained so much you feel compelled to dance the night away.

    Great soul and blues.

    by Bob on 3/29/23

Arleigh's voice is indeed one in a million. The band is always tight and grooved, but did I mention this girl's voice? Spectacular!

Have seen Sister Sparrow & the DBs several times over the years and they are back out doing some shows now.. better than ever! Arleigh is just incredible, Jackson plays that harmonica like a wizard, and they all just put on the best show with the best music.. If you haven’t seen them live you need to get to a show asap. One of/ The favorite band of my wife and I.

Great show, Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds had more fun together and were tighter than any band I have seen recently. I highly recommend catching these guys live if you like to get your dance on!

Sister Sparrow & Armies were incredible!

by mainemusicfan1224 on 3/14/16Port City Music Hall - Portland

I really loved the show. Both sets were stacked with powerful and talented artists. The lead singers of Armies - Dave Gutter & Anna Lombard - both sat in with Sister Sparrow out of Brooklyn for some seriously killer collabs! My favorite show of the year, by far. Well done by all!! Bravo!!!

    these birds should take off!

by PC32 on 12/13/15Brighton Music Hall - Boston

This was my first time seeing this band on the recommendation of a friend. Loved the show! The band are all terrific musicians playing with fire and passion, and the front woman lives up to her billing--just amazing.
