Shpongle is one the best artists of our time. This show was so amazing it is almost indescribable. If you have never listened to Shpongle, do yourself a favor and check them out.
Got to the show extra early to beat the line and get a good spot in the front. I had a pour 20 people ahead of me and when doors opened, they split us into multiple lines, and proceeded to check every small pocket, hair, hats, etc. at a Halloween show… it took 20 mins to get in. Friends missed the first two openers after it took them and hour and a half to get in. Otherwise the show was great.
Waited in line for an hour and a half. Security process flow and everything involved was so incompetent.
Unfortunately we missed the first opener Miraja who I’ve seen before and like. The other two openers were very difficult to get through. Not sure how they got a spot opening for Schpongle. By the time Simon went on the excitement was gone, and he wasn’t able to get it back. It just wasn’t the same without the rest of the band, sorry.
The show was outstanding, but getting into the venue was a complete nightmare. People stood outside in line for hours during a blizzard because of the unbelievably long searches. There were no pop ups or heaters set up for the line that wrapped around the building, so ticket holders were soaked with snow. The only outdoor heater was set up for security not for the freezing people waiting in line. Empty water bottles were not permitted so you could either fill a small cup from a single water station or be forced to purchase Liquid Death. This was not a fan friendly experience, and I will never return to the Fillmore in Denver.
The show was amazing, Shpongle never disappoints. Production was top notch. However, security was taking EMPTY water bottles at the doors (these were not on the prohibited items list) and then forcing us to buy over priced cans of water inside the venue, wouldn't take cash, and the only "free"water they had available was a drinking fountain. Not a very good way to keep your guests hydrated at high elevation. It's a total corporate cash grab move. Unless this issue is addressed, I will not be returning to another show at the Denver Fillmore.
A1 artist, terrible venue. The Fillmore is a joke of a venue.
What an epic performance! Finally dream of a lifetime came true. Very grateful to Simon and his crew for unforgettable experience.
The venue was really cool. Didn’t like standing in line for almost two hours to go through two metal detectors and to get patted down. No lines at any of the bars. I thought the three openers played way too long and Shpongle didn’t play for as long as the other sets which was a bummer. But Shpongle was amazing. From music, to graphics, to lights, to acrobatic dance it was all good.
the line took so long to get through because your security felt the need to search every single person for about a minute and a half and were excessively grouping people. What is the point of using a metal detector if your just going to get padded down for a minute and a half? Absolute joke, the fillmore is the worst venue in Denver without fail. Figure out your security lines, I got there at 7:40 and didnt get in until 9:15
