Shout? Tried to but didn't get there
by nabetse on 5/2/12NMSU Hershel Zohn Theatre - Las CrucesI enjoyed the show as a whole but expected the show to be performed by stronger vocals. Some of the singers were really off tune. Ouch, hurt my ears!

My husband and I loved this show. It was probably the best one we've seen at Meadowbrook. We love coming to Meadowbrook and can't wait until next season!
The show was entertaining and the girls in it were great.
Seven of us went and we all enjoyed it. It was funny and entertaining, Six of us are 50 plus and could relate to the songs, my daughter who is 17 knew a few but still enjoyed the show. All the girls had great voices.
Thoroughly enjoyed this musical and am planning on coming back for more Meadowbrook Theatre musicals! Sat in row 5, middle aisle, which was perfect for seeing and hearing the performers, especially during their forays into the audience. Enjoyed the great voices (not a weak one in the bunch) and the precision with which they performed their many different routines. It was hard to believe that they have not done "Shout" before in other venues. Musical was well-paced, not too nostalgic and certainly shuffled well into each new set. Liked!
5 Stars - Two thumbs up. The singing was outstanding, the story line was a pure joy to watch. The players did an outstanding job and really engaged the audience. There were happy and sad moments but always enjoyable. A fond look back for everyone who came of age during the 60s. So take a couple of hours out of your schedule and reflect back on your formative years!
The ladies did a fantastic job, the show was very energetic, and funny.
The music was great. The acting was great. Nice theater, with good seating no matter where you sit. It was very entertaining and left you wanting more. The music was all familiar 60's tunes even to me and I was born in '77. No set changes, minimal costume changes, nothing else was needed, they told a great story with the music. I recommend it to all but maybe avoid bringing kids under the age of 15. Some subject matters are a bit riske for anyone younger.
I saw the show on the last night of it's preview with my dad. We thought it was so amazing we are going to see it again tonight! For anyone who loves the theatre and musicals I would recommend this show.It is set in the 1960's and early 1970's. Even if your not familiar with any of the songs the show won't disappoint. It has great comedy. The girls have amazing voices and have a lot of fun with the show. It is a blast!!
The voices were good but the show boring and dull. The dresses were awful. I would not recommend this event.
